"Hi there sis" shit..... I couldn't breath. I was scared to death.
I opened my mouth to yell for help, but before I could get the words, he covered my mouth with his large dirty hands. He held a knife up to my neck. "I suggest you don't say anything". At that moment, Austin burst through the door, followed by Dave and Rocco. Austin, Rocco and Dave, put there hands up in serender as Derek pulled out a gun and pointed it straight at Austin. "You 2 leave now" Derek said, referring to Rocco and Dave. They wouldn't move so Derek let go of me and chased them out of the room but kept his eyes on Austin as he stood in the doorway.
I took this opportunity to rapidly press the button on the wall for help. Derek returned and saw. He grabbed Austin by the neck and shoved him against the wall. "STOP!" I pleaded. "SHUT UP!" he yelled. Seconds later, cops flooded the room. By this time, Austin's face was turning purple and his eyes began to role to the back of his head, indicating he was going to pass out.
"Hands up! Drop the weapons!" Derek pulled his attention away from Austin and pointed the gun at the cops. Bad move. Austin fell to his knees and tried to catch his breath and scooted over to the other side of the hospital bed right beside me. In the mean time, since Derek was pointing the gun at the cops, he got tazzed. I screamed and looked away as he fell onto my bed.
I was crying and squirming to get him away from me. it didn't help at all because I was already in a lot of pain from the previous events. Austin gained back his strength and came to my side and held me tight. I sobbed into his shoulder as the cops carried Derek away.
Nurses rushed into the room and started to examine me to see if I was okay. They also checked Austin.
After we were checked out, Austin sat on the side of my bed. "I'm so sorry" he said. "I was so caught up with the tour, and how much I missed you. I don't want to leave you again knowing that I wont see you for more than a year. I get that you want to finish high school and go to prom and home coming and stuff but we wont see each other for a long time." "Austin, if I go on tour with you, I will end up getting in the way of everything. Believe me, I want to be with you, but I think we need some time away from each other. I hate to say it, but I'm not going on tour with you Austin." "So, does this mean we're done?"
"If you love something, you let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours." "I love you Steph" he said as he pulled me in for a hug. Tears were streaming down my face. He leaned down and kissed them away. "Bye Steph" he said with sorrow written all over his face. The door closed and I fell back down on the pillows and cried myself to sleep.
