Before you read, I'd just like to say thank you for 8.5K reads! You have no idea how much this means to me. I love each and every one of you and couldn't be more thankful. Thanks for sticking around this long, from when Elizabeth first met Niall to when they said their first "I love you" to now. You had contributed to this story in so many ways, building it up to what it is now. Enjoy :)

~TREVOR'S POV~

Love. Such a controversial topic these days. Many argue that it is the greatest feeling in the world, while others describe it as a curse. The face of that special person who stole your heart would dance behind your closed eyelids when you sleep, their voice filling your head till that's the only thing you hear. Novels and cheesy drama series explain it as "falling head over heels", your heart beating faster and faster whenever that special someone is mentioned or when they're near. You would do anything, say anything, for that one person to be happy. To be yours. Whether it would be ditching your friends, lying to your family, or breaking a few hearts, you would do it. Why? Because you're completely, undeniably in love with that man or woman. As long as she, or he, is with you, nothing else matters.

Your ex-girlfriend crying, because you chose someone else? That's fine, as long as it isn't your lover's tears being shed.

Your friends backstabbing you, because you chose love over friendship? That's alright, you can make new friends.

You see? Love can drive people to do the impossible, no matter the cost. This heart-fluttering emotion we feel in our chest can make us do things that could result in hurting others, as long as it gets us to where we want to be. Next to our loved one.

However, what society failed to mention was that this high level of passion you feel towards a person can lead to insanity. Like I said before, you would do anything for that person to be yours. And only yours. The rush of adrenaline coursing through your body, pumping to your heart all the way to your brain would drive you over the edge. Every aspect of your life would learn to revolve around that person, craving him or her in its own special way. Every thought is centered on that person; what is he or she doing, are they thinking about you. It's all about them. It always will be.

Pretty soon all those thoughts and that wanting feeling for the love of your life will bubble up, rising higher and higher till that internal force that keeps you sane snaps. Till you get paranoid over the littlest things, forcing you to take the extremes in order to keep that person by your side.

That's what happened to me. I was so engulfed in the fact that Elizabeth had interests in other things besides me, I was driven to think that those interests will rip her away from my possession. Every night would end up with me in bed, thinking about how I would lose her over her friends or family. The idea of heart break was too much for me; fear, anger, and jealousy soon took over the love that once filled my heart. Losing the one girl I truly loved, the one girl that made me happy, was something that I couldn't bare. So what would I have to do to prevent such a loss? Isolate her from everybody.

And I did just that. One night, while in bed lost in the sea of distress and growing love, my mind had produced a plan, a brilliant plan that I thought would surely have Elizabeth taken away from her friends, me being the only one she could keep in contact with. It was vile, yet I believed that it was the right thing to do. The only thing to do.

Even after gaining Kyle's trust and friendship, I never would've expected him to agree so easily on my demand for him to hack into Elizabeth's laptop and take vulgar images of her. The blackmail I had pinned on him wasn't harmful; or so I thought. It was just a video of him drinking large amounts of alcohol at a party that I had taken him to when we were juniors. I had threatened him that if he rejected my request, I would go straight to his parents and show them the footage. Kyle's parents were very strict and would send their son to military school without a second thought. The coward of course backed off, hastily agreeing to the deal. A few days later I was flooded with heated pictures of my former girlfriend, most when she would be naked or undressing for when she was changing or getting ready to shower. I made sure to pick the ones that would be easily mistaken as her purposely taking the pictures in order to seduce me, something her parents would definitely disapprove on.
