Chapter 5: Sleep, Think and Envy

Sakura woke up bright and early, an hour and a half before the time she had to be at the training grounds. Why did she wake up so early you might ask?

Well Sakura was planning on getting some training in before heading out. She did not enjoy being this weak again and refused to remain this way. She was not quite sure how much of her strength remained after she discovered she had gone back in time.

So she was going to test them out. And she wanted to fix one of her greatest mistakes. She always regretted by giving her ninja studies her all when she was a Genin and now she was given the chance to. She was not going to let the opportunity slip past her.

Not again.

She took a quick shower and dried her hair. Brushing it until it was its regular silky form. She got dressed in her usual clothing and headed down stairs.

Despite of what Kakashi said the day before she ate a large, healthy breakfast. She knew very well that Kakashi-sensei was planning on using lunch as a reward for them.

After eating she packed a book and plenty of weapons. Mostly kunai because they were her second choice of weapon. Her first was just her bare fists. Her brute strength alone was enough to kill. Not to mention when they were chakra enhanced.

But now of course she was unsure if she still had that ability. She bounded out of her house towards the place she spent many hours of her day.

She reached an enclosed clearing hidden deep within the forest. She stood there for a moment, taking in the familiar place.

Memories flooded back to her of the time she spent here. All those times she came her to blow off steam, the times she felt so determined to prove she was strong. Every time she felt weak this was her go to place.

She began to remember the reasons why she felt that way and felt tears come to her eyes. She snapped out of it when she realized she was in fact going to breakdown.
"Never again will I need to prove my strength, not to them, not anyone"

She did a ram seal with her hands and began to feel her chakra. To her relief her very large chakra supply was still intact. But she could only access very little of it at the moment. It's as if she had the supply of a mere child. Even though her supply was extremely extensive, after using the little chakra she can use she will feel the affects of chakra depletion.

Isn't that just great. She thought.

She was pleased that she still had all of the knowledge she had obtained over years of study. All the Justus, her chakra control, medical ninjutsu, poisons, everything. This would definitely come in handy this time around.

After a long while of rediscovering all of her skills and abilities she left for the training grounds. She didn't dare to do any physical training.

She was gonna need all the energy she could get with the little chakra she could use. Especially with this opponent.
Though she remembered she didn't need much of anything last time.

But this time she was going to give Kakashi-sensei a run for his money.

By the time she arrived she at the training grounds she was 30 minutes late and a certain Uchiha was not pleased.
