He stood above me smiling. 'Hello precious' I stared at him marveling my boyfriend in the morning light, a moment before remembering what I was meant to do today.

'Look pack your bags for England.' Now he was the one to stare in confusion.

'Roo I don't quite understand; what is up?' He shifted in the soft cotton sheets, his old-school pyjamas with little stripes on tickled my side.

'We are going to Cornwall Pea!' His eyes lit up as I jumped out of bed.

'What's the occasion?' He questioned watching me in my graphic tee and boy-shorts.

'Well we had been working so hard I decided we needed a mini break.' I smiled up at him hoping for a good reaction.

'Ok....' He began slowly. I began packing as he followed suit, with wheely cases half packed I made boiled eggs and soldiers. He came down and kissed me as I flipped the little shells onto the two plates.

With our bags all packed Liam went to check that all the windows were closed and the plugs were off and I took this opportunity to his parents. 'Hey guys, plan all go we are going to the airport in an hour.' I could hear  his parents discussing various arrangements to pick us up when Liam came down and asked what's happening.

'Nothing pea I just need you to pack our toiletries, and don't forget toothbrushes!' He laughed running up the stairs. Probably remembering our crazy, smelly run-in in Sweden.

'So,' I whispered down the phone, 'The beach will be all good.'

'I told you,I checked the weather you will be fine. All the shopping is done; all you need to do is set and turn up.' Liam's mum Marie muttered down the phone.

I nodded and then felt stupid realising they can't see me 'Thanks bye.' I whispered putting the phone down.
'What are you doing?' Liam asked snaking a hand around my waist. 'Nothing. I mean work.' I tried to look as innocent as possible but realised that probably made me look more guilty. He shrugged leaving for towels or something, in truth I was too nervous to listen.

Wringing my hands I jumped into the drivers seat as he put his bag in the back, mine was already packed and waiting the night before.

Reaching the airport after a short drive singing songs we recognised on the radio, harmonising where we could. It reminded me how we met, at an audition for a local theatre company. Both of us were the only ones who had done any big performances or formal training so we were quickly chosen as the leads. Then like a fairy tale our off stage romance ran parallel to the characters. After the performances (we had toured with the shoe for several months) we had gotten a flat together, my roommate had sold mine without my knowledge while I was away and Liam's landlord had kicked him out. I smiled at the blissful memories.

As we sent our language away on a carousel Liam whispered to me 'When I was younger I thought my suitcase got all the way there on the on the rubber tracks and there was little tunnels to take it under the sea.' I burst our laughing as he kissed my cheek. An older couple near us gave us a warm smile. The taller lady of the two leaned over and mentioned how when she and her wife were our age they were the same.

I waved good bye to then as we parted to security. I could see a mischievous glint in my partners eye as we reached security and scanned our hand luggage. 'You know.' he said to an attendant after he had passed through the metal detector 'Our bags are the b...' I had passed through and stamped down hard on his foot before he could finish. I felt that making explosive jokes at the airport was never a good idea.

'What did you do that for?' He sounded so hurt and innocent, he obviously didn't realise he could be detained for a stunt like that.

'Because they could have arrested you.' I said blatantly 'And as much as I love a bad boy we have to be off.' I strode ahead with him chuckling behind me.
