Chris Brown
I leaned my head back, watching Dragon Ball Z inside of my living room with my feet propped up on the table. This show never gets old.
I rested my hands behind my head.
"Some things never change." I heard Lexi's sweet, angelic voice say causing me to look to my right.
I chuckled lowly. "Hey, Lex. How'd you get in?"
"Big Pat let me in as he was leaving out." She said. She went inside of the kitchen setting down three bags on the island and came back in the living room.
She sat next to me, leaving a hell of a lot of space in between us. I looked over at her to see her typing on her phone.
"Why you so far away? I don't bite." I said with a smirk.
She looked over at me. "Oh, I know. You do more than that."
I chuckled, fanning her off. "What's in them bags you brought, tho?"
"I brought something to cook for later on."
"Oh, really? Whatchu cooking for daddy?" I asked, licking my lips.
She smacked her lips. "Chris, will see what I'm cooking, later on."
I laughed, putting my feet back down on the floor and sitting up. She kicked her shoes off, criss crossed her legs, and turned facing me.
I glanced at her to see her staring at me as if she was trying to figure out something or read me.
"What?" I asked with a small smile.
She giggled, shaking her head. "Nothing, nothing."
"It gotta be something if you staring a nigga down."
"I don't know, something about you just looks different." She said.
I pulled at my beard and nodded slowly. "Different how?"
"I honestly don't know." She said.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Can I ask you something?"
She nodded her head waiting for me to continue. "Do you think there will ever be an us again? After everything that has happened?"
She looked down, playing with her nails. "I don't know, Chris."
"Do you remember how we first met?" I questioned, changing the subject.
She slightly smiled, playing with a bracelet she had on. "Of course, how could I forget? We met at the most unexpected place. A punch bowl. If it hadn't been for Mike, we probably would have ever met. Unless it was strictly about business." She admitted.
I shook my head. "Nah, thats not true. I think it was meant for us to be in each other lives. I remember the day we met you just couldn't keep your hands off me." I joked.
She looked at me and threw her head back, laughing uncontrollably . "I think it was the other way around. You kept pulling me back every time I tried to leave."
I chuckled. "Nah, I'm pretty sure you were the one who kept touching on me."
She smacked her lips, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, right."
