"Sometimes you don't realize what you've done, until you've seen the damage...And I looked at the damage..."
----
After 3 years of no communication, Chris and Lexi unexpectedly "reunite" at a birthday dinner.
What will happen when the two cross pat...
I sat up straight, hearing the sound of my phone going off. I looked at the caller ID and groaned, aggravated.
That Hoe Nia🖕🏼
She just wouldn't stop blowing my shit up. I don't even know why I haven't blocked the hoe yet but she was starting to get pissed off.
"What's wrong, baby?" Lex questioned, peeking her head out the restroom doorway, brushing her teeth.
I smirked at the sound of her calling me baby after all of these years. "Nothing, ma. I'm straight."
"You sure?" She asked, side eyeing me.
I chuckled nodding my head. "Mkay." She said with a shoulder shrug before disappearing again.
I then went to me and Nia's messages and read the text she sent to my phone.
"Hey, can we talk?"
I scoffed to myself before replying.

"So." Lexi voice entered the room again, this time along with her body.
"I was thinking, maybe we could throw like a small family cookout. You can invite Trey, Red, Mijo, and Keeis, since its been like forever since I've last seen them. Maybe August, and your mom of course. Oh an-"
"Yeah uh, that's great, baby." I said cutting her off, still texting Nia.
She sat at the edge of the bed, and looked at me. "Chris, you sure you're alright?"
I locked my phone and threw it next to my side. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know. Maybe because y-"
My phone started ringing cutting her off. I held my index finger up and picked it up to see that it was Nia.
"Sorry, uh, I gotta take this." I said before standing up, kissing her forehead quickly and walking out of the bedroom.
Lexi Wright
I slid on my black and white adidas slides and threw on my red, black pyramid hoodie over my white tank. I grabbed my car keys and phone and began walking out only to see Chris walking back in.
He's been acting really weird all morning and I just don't have time for it.
"Lex, wait. Where you goin' man?" He asked looking at me.
"To a friends house. You seem really occupied right now, better yet, distracted." I said folding my arms.
"Nah, that phone call, was just..Mike." He said but I could tell that he was lying.
"Look, you don't have to lie to me. I'm not your girl,-"
"Yet." He said.
I mentally rolled my eyes before sighing . "I'm not your girl . And if you think lying is gonna win be back, you're wrong."
"I'm not lying." He said.
I shook my head before walking away. I jogged down the steps then left out of his house after making it all the way down.
I got inside of my car, and plugged my phone up to the aux. I then started it up, and left outside of the gate.
I hummed along as Fly Before You Fall played lowly. This song was just so beautiful and really knew how to break a girl down.
I decided to drive to Kayla & Trey's house. After about 25 minutes of driving, I parked my car next to Kayla's and quickly wiped away my tears. I then got out, grabbing my phone and keys.
I went up to their door and was about to knock when the door opened and out walked Trey.
"Lexi? Wassup girl?!" He said with the hugest smile.
I returned the smile as he gave me a hug. "Nothing much. Just coming over here to steal your wife for a few minutes."
He chuckled. "Go ahead. I'm finna head on out to the studio to finish working on my new album."
I nodded. "Right, I heard a few of the songs off of it. They're amazing, keep up the good work."
He smiled. "Thanks, Lex."
I nodded. "I don't wanna hold you up, so I'll talk to you later."
"Bye, Lex." He said giving me another hug before I entered their beautiful home.
"Babe? Is that y- Lexi!!!" Kayla exclaimed giving me a hug.
I laughed and hugged her back. "Whatchu doing here girl?" She said with a smile as we walked inside of the living room.
"I needed to get out of Chris' house."
"Oh, lord. What he done did now?"
"He's starting back with the lies. He claims he wants me back but lying is not how you win a person back. Unless it's a dumbass gullible person." I said causing her to laugh.
"What exactly is he lying about?"
"I was telling him we should throw a small little family cookout and I started naming the people we could invite and he cut me off saying 'Yeah, uh, that's great, baby.' He wasn't even paying attention, he was too distracted by his damn phone."
She shook her head. "Men." She mumbled.
"Then I asked was he sure that he was alright and I got cut off by his phone ringing and he rushed out the room to take it."
"Red flag right there. He's up to something." She said.
I nodded. "Exactly. So by the time he came back inside, I was getting ready to leave. He told me that it was Mike. Kayla, I'm not stupid. We never step out of the room to answer phonecalls from Kylie or Mike so I knew right then and there he was lying."
"You ever thought about, going through his phone?" She questioned.
"No, because he's not my man. I just don't appreciate him lying to me."
"I'm not saying do it, I'm just saying maybe it'll help you figure out what's really going on, ya know?"
I nodded, taking everything she was saying in.
Maybe going through Chris' phone will help answer my questions, afterall.
"Now, that that's out of the way, where are the drinks at?!" I exclaimed, causing her to laugh.
"Coming right up." She said standing up.
