"Good morning class, I know classes had just begun but I wanted to see all of your potential in this subject, so therefore to see the skills hidden in you, we will be doing an activity." She said as she smiled at the students, she looked laid back in your perspective, not someone who's strict but someone that could be approachable.
"Each one of you will be handed out a canvas, all of you are in your places with your stands in front of you, the materials you will be needing is here upfront, after I set the reminders, you may begin." She said as she pointed to the materials at the side, loads of them, "Now first, you are to be given a chance to paint anything that you treasure, an object that resembles you or an object that you mainly love, it could be anything, from a dog to a necklace, let your imagination shine, you can add backgrounds and of the sort." She exclaimed.
"Now this is the last reminder, at a certain time, I would have to stop all of you and each one of you will be describing here at the front on why you had picked that object!" She said as she gently smiled at all of her students, making you comfortable as your eyes laid on the materials.
"Let us all be organized, I'll be picking out rows so that no one will fight for which object here." She said as she prepared the canvas to be given out.
A smile was plastered on your face as your fingers tapped on the wooden stand, patiently waiting for you turn, a special object already planted inside your mind, you stood up as she called for your row, you slowly made you way to the front, picking out the tubes of paint that had been stained from the outside, obviously used before, you smiled as brushes appeared before your sight.
You gladly accepted the canvas from the teacher and made your way to some other materials, you figured you'll be using a lot of shades in terms of the colors so you gladly hoarded some more because you got excited at the sight of so many tones and shades, you checked every material in your arms and decided to get a fountain pen, mainly because you wanted to sign your work after you were finished.
You sat down as you placed your materials by your side, the canvas carefully placed on the stand, you imagined the picture in your head before you started, you wanted the picture to have meaning and you were going to do that.
Splotches of paint had already stained your apron as you checked the clock ticking, the silence that surrounded the room made everybody focus on their work, nobody dared to utter a word as all of them were immersed in their creation, you placed some colors here and there, but you were going for a dull vibe, a dark aura, well not really dark but somewhere in between.
You dipped your brush in water as you started to place some big splotches on the surroundings, picking up a greyish black shade and started to dab it in the wet area, making it look as if they were accidental but complimented the main object well.
You definitely did your best on this one, mostly because you had the complete materials, you just really wanted to do well on where you were confident in, you sighed as you grabbed the fountain pen and made your way to the lower right of the canvas, placing the date as you signed your name, smiling at your creation, the ticks of the clock could be heard as you breathed in, you saw some who were already done while some were just touching up their works.
"Alright time's up, I hope all of you had finished your paintings, now it's time to show it to the class, how about we start with the new students, we do have, I believe six in the class? Okay, I'll just say what number and that's the order on who is going to present." She picked out the numbers with the transfer students and had smiled, you were number four, you were nervous.
You could feel your breathing get heavy as the student before you had returned to her seat, smiling as she succeeded in showing her creation, you felt your chest tightened as you breathed out, standing up as pairs of eyes stared at you, walking up front. Nerve wrecking to show your work.
