Ever since you heard Jungkook's got a girlfriend, you started to distance yourself from their group and spent more time with F/n, though Wonwoo and Jinyoung seemed to steal you more from her.

"You know- I can't even understand how they even got together." F/n grumbled as her eyes followed the couple entering the canteen, you looked at where she was looking at and it was indeed Jungkook and his girlfriend, laughing together.

"I mean, the only time I saw them act all friendly was when field trip came up, you know?" She murmured, you shrugged, you didn't care anymore, he only brought your heart this aching feeling when he was around so why would you even try to even sit beside him?

"Hey, if anyone from his group wants to like talk to me or something just don't agree, okay?" You looked at her in the eyes as you could see from a far that there was someone who was approaching.

"What-"

"Just do it."

You gulped, "U-uh, hey y/n, I was wondering if you could eat at our table-"

Hearing his voice made you want to look at him and talk to him like you used to but you couldn't, "I'm sorry Jungkook-ah, but I want her here." F/n sternly said and you could just looked down as you could hear a sigh and faint footsteps. They're gone.

Jinyoung's heart raced faster as he could feel his palms sweat, he chuckled as he noticed the state he was in. He was nervous, damn nervous.

He didn't know if he had the guts to tell it to you or how you would take it, as far as he knows, you relied on him, and he didn't know if what he was doing was right.

He spotted the table where you sat and gulped as he saw you happily talking to F/n, he didn't want that to change but he was afraid he might be the reason why your smile might go away.

His feet dragged on the floor, like magnets or something, he inhaled as he reached the table and placed a hand on your wrist.

"I need to talk to you." His stern gaze made you gulp and made you all anxious. You nodded as you gave a glance at F/n, she nodded.

He gently grabbed your hand and dragged you out of the canteen, into the halls where no one was in sight.

"I'm so sorry." Jinyoung muttered under his breath and your brow raised, "What're you sorry for?" You hesitatingly asked, your eyes softened as you could see him trying to muster up a smile but couldn't do it.

Your heart had immediately ached as he bursted into tears, "No don't look at me, please." His voice wavered, he choked on his tears, he was holding his cries back and that resulted to him coughing.

You pulled him into an embrace as you couldn't say anything, but he let it all out when you hugged him, you couldn't believe it.

What happened that made him in a state like this?

"I'm—I'm leaving."

You pulled away as he wiped his tears, "Are you gonna go get your books? I'll come with you." You offered but his eyes just turned more pained, "N-not like that y/n-ah,"

He paused and you looked at him with intense eyes, "I'm leaving, I need to go back to hometown, I feel like I'm burdening everyone since the guys planned to go with me." He chuckled bitterly.

There was a long pause before you forced words out of your mouth.

"When is it, at least let me see you leave." Tears were brimming your eyes but you controlled it since you wanted to seem tough, for him.

"Don't go, the train leaves tonight, I didn't wanna say it to you last week since you were doing so fine from you know," he trailed off and you knew exactly what he was talking about.

"But I still can't let you leave without me seeing you off."

He held your cheeks as he gave your eyes an intense stare, "Promise me you won't go to the train station, promise me you won't go there so I can't cry, promise me that you'll be happy genuinely even without me."

"How can I make those promises, I'll go there anyway." He clicked his tongue, knowing reasoning won't do any good.

"Fine, you can go but just please try to stay home, you don't need to see me off."

"What do you mean I don't need to? The one that's keeping me standing is about to leave, yah, Park Jinyoung, why do you need to leave?" You suddenly asked as you quickly wiped away the tears. "I just need to alright, it's for the best."

He embraced you as you tried so hard to not let your tears fall.

What am I going to do without you ..
