Jack the Giant Slayer
Chapter 2: The Village

Alex's point of view

The morning light shined threw the crakes in the wooden house. My room was filled with dust and warm light. The smell of fresh fruits and bread filled my nose.

I heard my grampa storming around. The sound of a crush woke me from my none sense sleep.

I climb out of my wooden bed and headed towards my broken down closet. Barely any clothes hanged inside, I slid my fingers on every outfit until my hand stopped on a silk fabric.

I gripped my hand around the fabric and pulled it forward. It was my mothers dress that she use to wear. I laid the dress on the bed and slipped it on.

I pulled my hair on the side of my head and braided my hair. When my hair was complete I shoved on a pair of my black boots and headed out my room.

My grampa sat at the kitchen table with toast in one hand and water in the other. I slipped passed him to the door. "Good morning grampa, I'm gonna go to the market today with Jack."

I turned around and looked at my grampa. "Get some fresh bread while your out." ask grampa
I nodded my head "Is there anything else?"
He looked down at his food. "No nothing else, now get off I have chores for you to do when you get back."

I nodded my head and grabbed my side bag and my black cloak. I head down the drown dusted road.

I walked until I saw the familiar house of my friend Jack. I could hear Jack and his uncle talking "Get working on the weeds out back they're about to swallow the house." said his uncle

Jack grabbed the horse and lead it out to the front of the house towards me. "I'll get to it,uncle" replied Jack

Jacks uncle stopped and watched the horse and chart "And,Jack?"he starts
"Yes, uncle?" ask Jack
"Don't get distracted." his uncle adds

Jack walked up to me and stopped "A ride madam"
I laugh at what he says "Oh course."
We both laugh and I climd into the cart the horse is carrying.

We walk and ride for a few miles until the village and chaste is in full view.

Jack looked at the horse and sighed "Come on, don't look at me like that. I wouldn't sell you, but we haven't got much choice."

I smiled and leaned forward "Mean old grumpy uncle needs the money to fix up the house, he don't have time to take care of a horse."

Jack turns around and smiles at me "What do you have against my uncle anyway?"
I lean back "He's a mean old grumpy man that doesn't care about anyone but himself."

Jack laughs at the comment "And your grampa is better."
I lift my eye brow "Who said anything about my grampa, but now you named him he is worst of all."

Jack flips his head and counties to lead us to the village.

Once we enter the gate I jump of the chart and walk towards Jack. "I need supplies for my grampa, when I'm done I'll find you okay."

Jack looks around the village then back at me "Okay"
I head away but turn around "don't forget what your uncle said "don't get distracted."
Jack laughs and leads the horse to the middle of the village.

It felt like hours iv been jammed in the village but really it's only been 20 minutes.

I finally got everything I needed and all placed in a basket all ready to be carried back to the farm.

I look around and couldn't find Jack but I ran into a tent that said 'Eric the Great'
