Chapter 9: Let the Battle Begin

Elmont's Point of View:

The morning sun rose and wind blew. It wasn't soon until I heard the sound of giant thumps of the giants feet hitting the ground.

"Brothers, all together!" one of the giants said.

I climd up the side of the rock and saw a whole army of giants. Soon two giants carried a thrown for their new king Roderick.

"You their, fye, foe, set me down here." I heard Roderick said to the two giants. They placed his thrown on the ground and Roderick walked away towards me. I pulled my knife out and waited.

Roderick walked all the way to the edge of the rock and looked below down on the bean stock.

"Down we go." He said before he turned around.

When he started to turn towards the giants I ran up the rock.

He turned around before I could strike and we both fell down into the stream under the rock with a giants face.

"Help me." Roderick screamed up to the giants. I climbed back on my feet. We both looked at each other for a long time. I striked first but he was able to bock the knife with his cane. He hit me in the head knocking me down.

Roderick pulled a knife from the end of his cane and pointed it at me. He striked first but I pull back so it missed me. I threw my knife at him but we both just hit each other's knife making a cling sound.

Finally Roderick hits my leg with his cane which made me loss balance and fall and drop my knife. Roderick striked but I grab his hands. He pushed me farther into the water. When I completely under water I find my knife. I grab it with my mouth and lift my head up striking Roderick under his eye with the blade. He screamed and falls back.

I quickly get back to my feet. We go back to fighting again and once again he knocks my knife out of my hands. He pushes me back until I'm at the end of the rock tongue. With one hit in the face I fall back but I quickly catch myself on a rock. Water kept coming on to the rock making my grip even harder to hold on.

Roderick kneels down to wear I am and puts his foot in-between the rocks.

"You thought that you were the hero of this story." Roderick says.

He places the tip of his knife under one of my fingers making one hand loss grip of the rock.

"Don't you know that we all think that?" Roderick continued

He try's to put the knife on my other hand. But I moved one hand on his shoe and the other on another rock.

He try's to remove my hand that's on his shoe but before he could stab my hand I pulled his knife right into his foot.

He screams and I pulled the knife out of his foot and stabs him right into the chest.

"I may not be the hero of this story. But at least I get to see how it ends." I said letting him fall to the floor.

I climb my way back to the tongue of the rock. When I finally got up Roderick was dead and the giants were taking his body.

"No." I screamed but it was too late the giants have the crown so no one could stop them.

Alex's point if view:

We kept climbing down and we were almost there but suddenly the bean stock started to move. Jack looked down to see what was happening.

"Oh no." Jack said

I looked down to see the people pulling the roots out.

"There gonna put down the bean stock." I said

I pulled back and grabbed two small vines and handed one to Jack.

"You take Isabella and when you find something to land on jump and hold on." I said

Jack looked at me and nodded.

It wasn't soon until the bean stock started falling and fast. Jack pointed to an open field. "We can land on the hay." Jack said

"Sounds good." I replied

Jack grabbed Isabella and wrapped the vine around both of them.

"Now!" I screamed and we both jumped off.

I quickly let go of the vine and fell into a big pile of hay.

I looked around and I couldn't find Jack or Isabella.

"Alex!" I heard Jack scream from across the field.

"Over here" I screamed back.

Soon Jack and Isabella came running around the corner. Isabella hugged me and so did Jack.

"Now princess we bring you home." I said

She nodded and we headed back towards the root of the bean stock.

When we made it back to the root of the bean stock Jack brought Isabella back to her father and I waited outside. It wasn't soon until Jack came back out.

The king called for Jack and thanked him for all he's done. Soon Isabella came running out to Jack and the king walked away and towards me.

"I thank you for your service." He said sticking out my hand.

"It was a pleasure to serve you king." I said

"I bring you an offer you have two days to decide to join my guards or stay on this farms." The king said with the same batch that Elmont gave to Jack before we left.

"I don't know how to thank you my king." I said looking down at the batch

"You can thank me by deciding what's better for you." The king said before walking off towards the horses.

"Come along Isabella" The king said.

Isabella hugged Jack and ran off towards her father. The guards and the king took off back to the kingdom.

Soon after everyone packed and left after the king. I looked down at the batch wonder about Elmont. Did he ever make it down? My though was cut short when I saw a familiar horse.

"Jack!" I shouted

He came running around and stopped when he saw the horse.

"Anser it's good to see you, boy." Jack said rubbing Anser head.

"I guess Anser forgave you for selling him for beans." I joked

Jack smiled as Anser drank his water. But soon Jack's expression changed.

"What?" I asked

"Giants." Jack replied

I looked up and saw as a whole army of giants came down on three bean stocks.
