Chapter 2: Gantuair

Alex's point of view:

Everyone laid on the branches on the bean stock to get some rest.
I couldn't really sleep, but everyone else had no problem of snoring in my ear.

When the rain stopped and the sun started to come up. I climbed up a little higher and sat down. The morning fog blocked the sigh of the birds that sang their morning song like nothing ever happened.

Soon I heard movement down below. Jack climbed up and relaxed when he saw me.
"Thought you were taken." He said
"No I just wanted to see what's around." I told Jack
"Look" said Jack pointing a a rocked head that had water coming out of its mouth.
We made it to the top the bean stock, Jack stopped to point at something in the distance.
"Isabelle." Jack said looking at his house.

It was slammed into the rocks.
"We'll look at that." Said crawl climbing up with Elmont.
We searched the house but nothing was their.
"Well, she's not in the house. This is the only other place she could've gone." Elmont said climbing into the mouth of the rock head.

"If she climbed down, we would've seen her." Crawl said looking around.

Elmont bent down and placed his hand in a shoe print in the mud. "She didn't climb down she climb up." Elmont said
"Why would she do that?" Roderick asked
"If she were cold." Crawl said
"Or hungry"Elmont added
"Or looking for an adventure." Jack whispered to me.

We climbed out of the head and found an opened field. Elmont handed out the left over food we had left.
"Is this all you have?" Asked Roderick
"The rations went down with my men." Elmont replied to Roderick.

When Elmont gave me the food I handed it to Jack. I wasn't hungry but then again I never ate anything.

While the guards went up towards the woods.
Roderick and his little side kick pulled Jacks knife and pointed it at my neck.
"Where are the beans?" Roderick asked Jack.
"Shh" Was all Roderick side kick kept saying to me.
"My lord?" Jack said
"There are exactly three men in Cloister who can make a person disappear. The Lord High Constable, The Lord High Steward, And The Chief adviser to the king. Unfortunately for you, I'm all three." Roderick said to Jack
Jack reached his hand into his pocket
"Come on." Roderick said

When Jack handed Roderick the beans. Roderick side kick lowered the knife.
"And not a word. Or you and your friend..." Roderick pretended to cut his neck to show what he would do.

They walked away and headed towards the others. Jack lifted up his hand to show he still had one bean. He locked it in his necklace and dragged me along to the others.
Elmont turned and faced us "Keep up, or you will be left behind!" He shouted.

The guards where following a mark that Isabella drew on the tress. We followed until we in a tunnel of rock.
"There's another mark. half finished." Crawl said
"Something happened here." Elmont said
Soon all the guys were screaming her name "Isabelle!"

Jack went into another tunnel route that was covered my branches of trees.
"I'm getting an awfully bad feeling about this," Elmont said

"She hide in her." Jack said walking out of the tunnel.
"I think something grabbed her." Jack said
"Why would you think that?" Roderick asked
"Well, this is the book I gave her. And look at those broken branches."

Crawl looked in the tunnel.
"Something big pulled her out of there." Jack said
"She's in trouble" He finished

"Bald, you go with Wicke and Roderick take the high ground. Well continue this way." Elmont said
"Now don't engage in anything unless you have to. Remember, our mission is to find and return the Princess. And we must assume that this is now hostile territory." Emont finished.

"And every story you fathers told you was true." Crawl said
"Good luck" Elmont said before going on route.

We followed the rest of the tunnel until it was open area. There was a little pond In the middle of the area. Soon it began to rain.

On the other side of the pond was a pack of sheep. The guards looked at them.
"Anyone hungry?" Elmont asked

We got closer to the sheep. Elmont held me back and made Crawl and Jack get the sheep. When Crawl and Jack went into the water a trapped snapped. And a big net came out of the water carrying Jack and Crawl.

"Elmont" screamed Crawl.
"Hang on" Elmont replied running over to wear the rope was tied to a giant rock.
I walked over with Elmont and he claimed the rock cutting it down.
Jack managed to grab a knife out of his pocket and was cutting the net.

The bird from the trees started to fly away and go crazy. Elmont stopped cutting the rope to watch what was happening.

When Crawl fell out of the net. Elmont put his knife away. Soon the sound of branches breaking were heard coming closer. Soon Jack feel out of the net, but Crawl was all ready running to hide.

Elmont jumped down from the rock and grabbed me to the corner of the rock. Jack was stuck in the water, and Crawl hid behind a tree near by.
We all looked up at the sky were the branches kept breaking.

Soon legs were seen walking by the trees to where the sheep had been. Elmont wrapped his arms tighter to me. Jack took a deep breath and hid under the water. Elmont put his hand over my mouth and whispered in my ear
"Shh"
A giant came out of the woods and picked up one of the sheep and ate it whole.

The giant walked closer to crawls tree and picked it off the ground. Crawl got up and started running. The giant just stood there watching but soon the giant took a stepped and pushed Crawl and knocked him out. The giant bent down.
Elmont let go of me and pulled out his knife and charged after the giant.
Elmont stabbed his knife into the giants leg.
The giant growled and kick Elmont back against a rock.

Now both Elmont and Crawl were unconscious. The giant pulled the knife out of his leg and picked up Crawl and Elmont. Soon they were both being carried away deeper into the woods.
