April 5th 1948

"And Amelia what are you dressed up as today?" Her over exaggerated Year 2 teacher ask her.

"A journalist." She said proudly.

"Wow" her teacher said impressed, most of the the students were dressed as princesses or footballers.

Amelia always stood out from the crowd, often using her intellect or the way she wore her clothes

She clutched her clipboard and adjusted her fake glasses which, little did Amelia know, she would actually need when she was 8 for reading. She stood straight with great posture and smiled as her classmates applauded and she sat back down in her place with her group of friends.

"When I'm a big girl like Mummy, I'm going to be a journalist" she thought to her 6 year old self.
