"And the next thing I see is the foyer crowded with people just like yesterday!" She said pacing around the living room as she told Paul what had happened.
He was out with the boys last night and didn't arrive and until late the next morning so she hadn't have much time to talk to him.
"Well, now you know what it's like to be famous" he smirking and leaning back into the sofa.
"It's just... overwhelming. I'm not used to this yet" she sighing as she sat down beside him. Amelia rested her head on his shoulder as he stroke her arm.
"It will be fine" he said reassuring her "at least they weren't hurling abuse at you".
"To be honest I couldn't understand a word they were saying!" She said and paused "Paul, what if this happens everyday? And more and more people turn up?".
He rubbed his stubble on his chin "I don't know, they'll probably transfer you to another office".
She looked at him realising he was right "the other office is on the other side of London".
He sighed "where?" He asked.
She swallowed "St. Johns Wood". It was a fair distance from Leicester Square, nearly half an hour on the tube let and almost over an hours walk.
She turned to Paul who looked slightly sad at the thought of Amelia moving further away from him, she held his face in her warm hands.
"Hey, it's going to be ok" she told him "besides, this isn't even for sure yet" his eyes looked back up to her soft expression making him trust her.
He kissed her softly showing how much he cared for her. She loved staying at his apparent, Amelia practically lived with him now. It was so convenient for work but if she was to be transferred to the other branch it would take half an hour to get home. And if the tubes weren't running, she'd have to walk three miles. He ran his fingers through her thick hair, at least he tried, but always seemed to get stick.
She smiled through the kiss "this seems to happen a lot".
"I know, I never learn" he smiled and they giggled.
They deepened the kiss and which took over for a while. They ended up laying on top of each other on the sofa and finished as Amelia collapsed from exhaustion.
"We need to go to sleep" she said looking at Paul's watch reading 11:50 in the evening.
"Ok Lia" he said cheerfully and whisked her up into a bridal style lift to the bedroom.

The next morning at the office was quiet, almost too quiet for her liking. She was so paranoid that she checked her windows every five minutes to make sure no one was watching her. She anxiously waited for the lunch bell to ring which was the peak of when the crowd would form outside. She heard a soft but sudden knock on her door.
"It's happened again" Rachel, much to Amelia's disappointed, said.
Amelia sighed as she clambered out of her seat towards reception and the main entrance. All eyes fell on her as another gathering of staff formed behind her to watch the commotion unfold. Everyone now understood why there were so many people gathered outside the premises at this particular time. The crowd knew that this was when the staff were dismissed for lunch and believed they might have a chance of meeting her.
"This is just getting ridiculous" Mr Miles said as he studied the young adolescents before him. At least that's what he referred to them as but she had noticed a few older looking people too.
"Mr Miles" coughed Mr Bendal, the chief executive of The London Post.
He turned sharply "Yes, sir".
"I'd like to talk to you in my office" he said firmly and Mr Miles followed.
Silence fell as everyone waited in anticipation to try and hear what they were discussing. A few raised voices were heard from one of them but it wasn't clear who. Amelia felt awkward and Rachel gave her a small smile of encouragement. Soon enough Mr Miles directed her to his own office for their own talk. She already knew what was coming.
"Amelia, please take a seat" he said and she did without hesitation wanting the meeting to be over and done with.
"Now, Mr Bendal and I have come to a very serious conclusion to this problem. As you've witnessed on many occasions, more and more of these youngsters are turning up on our door step and frankly I'm tried of it. Considering this is matter involving a high profile relationship, it's within my power to protect it from the media. " he said trying his best to stay calm, Amelia swallowed waiting for him to carry on. Mr Miles knew the whole thing inside and out due to the fact he had practically set the pair up on a blind date at the press event back in June.
"So I have no choice but to transfer you to our other branch in St. Johns Wood. Now i understand that this may cause some inconvenience to you, and this was a last resort for me personally as you are an asset to this company and my team, but this is the only way we can solve this problem" he informed her and she nodded taking it in. She expected it but she was still upset at thought of moving away from her close friends she'd made.
"However," he continued and Amelia looked back up to him.
"This will only be a temporary solution as I have found a new position for you at a different company" he said as a smile grew on his face.
Amelia was shocked "Really?".
"Indeed. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to tell you exactly what the job is but it is right up your street and you should be very excited" Mr Miles explained feeding the anticipation and astonishment inside of her.
"When am I going to be transferred?" She asked.
"Tomorrow" he said standing up taking some files out of a tray.
"Tomorrow? But isn't that a little soon?" She questioned taken back by his answer.
"You know where it is don't you?" He turned to look at her and she nodded "then you'll be fine, I want to get rid of these youngsters as soon as possible. They already have an office ready for you, mind you it isn't as big as your one at the moment but it will do" he said dropping a collection of paperwork into her arms.
"Now, there's a list to remind you what to take with you. All you need to do is fill out this form so you can show it to them tomorrow" he said smiling.
"Will you still be my boss?" She asked afraid of his answer, she really enjoyed him helping her and he understood her on a personal level. He was a mentor to her.
"Unfortunately yes I will be" he chuckled making her smile too "be not for much longer with your new job coming up".
"I haven't even done an interview yet" she said standing up ready to leave.
"Oh you'll get it in a heartbeat. Now off you go, I need you out of here by closing time" he said ushering her out and wishing her luck.
