April 1st 1966
(Big date gap I know)

It didn't take long for Amelia to adjust to her new surroundings. She fell in love with her office and was extremely pleased that everything had worked out. Mr Miles was correct, it was only a temporary change. Soon she was moved to a music magazine company called Rave where she wrote the main articles and was training on how to edit the front covers. They had discovered her creative side and embraced it. This all happened in January where she was moved deeper into the heart of St. John's Wood. She was over the moon with her new position. The magazine was famous in Britain and America too, featuring artists such as the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and many more classic bands.

Her mission now was to try and get The Beatles on the cover at some point knowing that they deserved this kind of recognition and not bad press. They had already been put on in 1964 but were just thrown to the side when new bands arrived making it difficult to get them back on the cover. Paul and Amelia's relationship, despite being separated in terms of work, had grown and they found themselves buying a house nearer her work. But she was confused, Paul recorded at EMI studios which was now further away. All was going to be revealed to her shortly.

Her office phone rang through the room and she paused her writing.

"Hello Lia" he said cheerfully.

"Hello Paulie" she replied mimicking his tone.

"How are you today love?" He asked

"Well it's been quite quiet today, a lot of people are off sick. I'm just working on the article for The Monkees" she said looking down at her writing.

"Oh sounds interesting, heard a bit of their stuff actually. Not too bad" he said making her smile.

"Is the recording going alright?" She asked.

"Yes about that," he said leaving a slight gap making Amelia a little apprehensive "we are moving to record somewhere else".

"Oh, is that a good thing?" She asked confused.

"Indeed. George said that there is a better studio for this album and we've already worked in there a few times. And it's nearer you" he informed making her feel excited.

"That's brilliant. Where exactly?" She asked wanting to know how close her was going to be.

"Look out of your window" he said and so she did.

There he was, sitting on the window sill holding the phone in one hand and waving to her with the other. Abbey Road Studios was just on the other side of the road from her office.

"Abbey Road studios of course!" She said remembering.

"It's pretty perfect isn't it!" He said chuckling.

"It is! How long will you stay there then?" She asked.

"Well it's probably going to be a permanent move" he said and she was shocked.

"This is incredible Paul I'm so happy" she said smiling and looking at him.

"Me too Lia. All we need it the bakery now" he said smiling again and she smiled back.

She thought back to when she used but the same pasty everyday from Sheila. But when she moved it was too great of a distance to go there for lunch again. They kept in touch via the telephone and met up with Rachel every weekend to keep their friendship going. Although, she quickly made new friends at Rave but they weren't quite the same. She was glad that she still had them from the old days.

"Come over after work and I'll show you around, I've got to go now. I'll see you later" he said.

"Ok, goodbye" she said as they exchanged waves and hung up.

She got straight back to work, she was like that. Amelia never wanted to leave anything unfinished. However, Paul stood for a few minutes just watching from the window. He could see her slightly hunched body scribbling down and type writing other parts and people bringing her tea with biscuits. He could stand there for hours.

"Hey Paul, we need you" he heard John say snapping him from his daydream and rushed back to the recording booth.
