This story DOESNT follow the movie plot. This is just the first chapter, it's the only one like it, but I thought it would be nice to start where the story actually begun. But... it has explainations for the characters actions, more adultered reasons for things, and more gore.
First of all, if you get triggered easily, leave. I value your wellbeing over views. This book deals with topics ranging from drug use, alcoholism, self harm of different types, verbal and physical abuse, and rape and sexual assault, as well as general sexual scenes. This is a Rise of The Guardians fanfic, but it is not like many others. It is not suitable for any one under 13, but really, I'd prefer 15+. It deals with lots of mature themes and I don't want to hurt anyone. Okay? If you want or need to message me, please do. This will be, most likely, the only warning.

Darkness.
It's the first thing I remember.
It was dark, and it was cold. And I was scared.
But then, then I saw the moon.
It was so big, and it was so bright.
It seemed to... chase the darkness away.
The boy rose through the ice, gasping, willing oxygen into his lungs as his eyes flickered open.
And when it did, I wasn't scared anymore.
His feet planted onto the ice below him, his bare feet gripping haphazardly.
Why I was there and what I was meant to do.
That I'd never know.
He glanced at his hands, staring at his pale skin and studying it for marks.
And a part of me wonders if I ever will.
He looked up the moon, smiling slightly, and stepping forward, immediately loosing traction on the ice.
He laughed lightly, walking forward until his foot collided with an object on the ground.
A staff, taller that him and made of knotted oak. He shot back, sticking his foot out to touch it, gasping when a frost climbed off his toe onto the stick.
He reached down, furrowing his brows, and picking it up, flinching when it tapped the ice beneath him and sent the frosty detailing down along the ice behind him.
The boy stared at the staff with intrigue, smirking and letting out a breath he didn't realise he was holding.
He tapped the tip of the staff on a nearby tree, reaching out to touch the ice spreading over it.
He did it again, bounding with joy when it works and sprinting off the another clearing, dragging the staff behind him.
He gave out an exclamation as he almost slipped, then chuckling as he found traction again, using his staff to help him steady himself.
He spun round and round, sending feathers of Frost all over the ice.
Suddenly, the wind caught in his leather drape, pulling him upwards above the ground.
Again, he let out a cry and before steadying himself, and plummeting to the ground, hitting multiple tree branches before landing on the white cushion of snow blanketing the ground.
He laughed again, pulling himself upright, his voice ceasing when he caught a glimpse of the lights of a town in the distance.
He flew towards it, unsteady and shaking.
He landed, giggling as he hit the ground with a thud and dusting the snow off his leather cape, standing up and waving to the first woman he saw.
"Hello."
"Hello."
He waved to many, but no one reacted, he assumed it was because he was a stranger.
"Good evening ma'am" he exclaimed.
"Ma'am?"
A group of children ran past, chasing their dog. No one glanced his way.
"Oh, ah, excuse me" he said, turning to a child, "Can you tell me where I am..."
The form ran straight through him, causing him to suck in a deep breath, fear etching his features.
He stumbled back, struggling for air, eyes wide.
More people passed through him.
"Hello?"
My name, is Jack Frost.
How do I know that?
The moon told me so.
But that was all he ever told me.
And that was a long, long, time ago...
