Scared was an understatement, North had seen.
Or, he thought.
Jack was always a pessimist, thinking about the worst that could happen.
The winter spirit tugged at his silver locks, groaning in pain.
His stomach growled in hunger, but his throat burned in protest.
He'd already forced down a meal that morning, to please Toothiana, and then forced it back up to please the voices.
His life was just a vicious cycle.
Eat.
Purge.
Cry.
Cut.
Starve.
Repeat.
Just a fucking circle, that went round and round with no end.
The general circle.
"Jack?" He could hear North's steady knocks on his door.
"Yes?" The porcelain boy made an attempt to sturdy his voice, as he re messed his hair and wipe tears off his face.
He wouldn't let North see tears.
"About this morning..."
"I haven't been feeling well."
"Okay, I just wanted to be sure, do you want anything, drink, something to eat?"
"No really, thanks North" Jack smiled.
The man he called his mentor slipped back out the door and closed it.
Leaving Jack all alone again.
You're not alone, you worthless scum.
He hadn't cut yet.
And he knew better than to proceed with the circle, but he couldn't help it.
Routines ran about his head.
He always did this.
Crying was weak.
And cutting was its punishment.
Cutting was punishment for everything, not just crying.
Failing his friends.
Lying.
Being selfish.
Eating.
Not eating.
The list could go on, so with a heavy feet and a tight chest, Jack dragged himself over to his bathroom, and closed the door.
He didn't hide his attackers well, just left them in a small black box, top drawer.
Maybe it was his odd desire to be caught.
Fuck that, not odd.
Rational.
He wanted to be found, he needed to be found.
He needed help.
And either he needed to stand up and tell on himself, or someone else needed to stand up and help him.
And he knew it wasn't going to be the first one.
That's another cut Jack, you're being selfish.
