Live like legends {Dylmas}

Chapter 7

Really really slow updates btw because GCSEs.. Ugh I can't deal with them. I haven't given up on this book. And the photo in the media is so adorable.

I kept thinking... What if today's the last day on earth? The last day on earth for me or someone I love. I loved my friends. I couldn't bare to loose them.

The next day we begin our search for a safe place and Kat. I wasn't sure if any of us believed we had an actual chance of finding her but I knew we had to try.

"I prayed for her last night," Kaya smiles warmly to Thomas.

"Thank you," he smiles back.

"Hoping and prayin ain't gonna help!" Will scoffs "we just got gotta keep looking."

"Thomas over here!" Ki Hong calls as Thomas and Will sprint in his direction whilst I linger behind with Kaya. She sighs slightly and looks up at me.

"You okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine," she mumbles "apart from the world being dead I'm doing okay... I don't want to get Thomas' hopes up for something that won't happen. How can he be so brave?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not like you,or them. I'm not brave. I'll be gone soon."

"I will. Listen Dylan I'm not strong enough."

"Well I'll make you strong. I'm not leaving you behind. I'd never leave you behind,understand?"

"Yes," she smiles "you're a good guy Dylan. Don't forget that." She kisses my cheek and skips on in the direction of the others. I notice everyone gathered around a small pathway.

"Look," Ki Hong points out a building in the distance "I don't think any monsters are there so I'd say that place is good to hold up in whilst we search for Kat. Hopefully there's some food and weapons there too. Maybe people? Let's go."

We follow him through a beautiful forest,occasionally seeing a few monsters which Will puts out of their miseries. I see Kaya's look of fear and in those moments I do think that she isn't made for a world like this;but I do know that if anything happened to her I'd never be able to forgive myself.

"It's perfect," Thomas smiles as we come into view of the house. Large white bricks and flowers surrounding it,it was so stunning it almost made me forget the world I was in. We swing open the doors as me and Will check the rooms for monsters-but it was empty. We then scavenge the cupboards and find some food which we decide to ration for as long as we can. There were three bedrooms which were close enough to one another. I sit myself down on the mattress and I let out a sigh of comfort.

"I haven't felt this comfy in years..." I smile as Thomas lays beside me. I take his hand in mine as we look up at the ceiling "believe me when I say we can make it here." I kiss him softly "you get some rest,I'm heading out."

"Where you going?" He pouts.

"To find your sister," I kiss him again "be back soon."

"Bye Dyl."

I wave goodbye and head out the house,deep into the woods. Despite the fact that the monsters could be roaming this place I yell out Kat's name over and over. Praying that I'd find her and bring her back to Thomas. Sometimes things become possible if we want them bad enough. But I'm started to believe that wishes are things only granted in fairytales.

"KAT!" I yell "Kat it's Dylan. Please,please come home!" I get no reply. I feel a single tear and I wipe it away. Searching around for hours but getting nothing for my effort. Once night falls I wander back. Once I get through the doors,Kaya and Thomas stand there hopeful,but I shake my head to tell them that I've found nothing.

"I'm sorry," I whisper.

"Don't be." Kaya hugs me "let's get you some food and then let you sleep."

"It's okay Kaya,I can do it." Thomas nods.

"I'm not hungry," I mumble as I walk upstairs into our room. I pull off my socks and shoes,lying under the covers-trying to not cry.

"Dylan..." Thomas closes the door "thank you."

"I didn't find anything," I whisper "I'm sorry."

"Stop apologising when you've done nothing wrong. You never have to apologise again." He strokes my hair as leans down to kiss my ear. I feel a slight tingle and I turn to him,pulling him over me as I kiss him passionately.
He suddenly pushes up my shirt and starts to caress my chest, my heart plummets but a noise escapes through my lips at his touch. He lays me back and begins kissing a trail down my chest slowly. He kisses to the waistband of my jeans then rests his hands on them,licking his lips at the sight.

"Thomas..." I whisper "what are you doing?"

"You don't like it?" He whispers.

"I liked it. But not here,okay?" I kiss him and pull on my shirt. I don't say anything else,I just wrap my arms around him,stroking his hair as I hum softly.

"I'll never let anyone hurt you," I whisper as he falls asleep.
