Alfie offers to walk me home as we step off the bus, and not knowing what I'll do when we get close I say "yes."
We walk slowly through the darkness, it's 2:00 in the morning so I assume that my parents are asleep, I'm thinking about my plan to get in as I feel Alfie's warm hand hold onto mine.
"You know I promised I'd be home by 10:30," Alfie says chuckling,
"You think that's bad, I'm actually grounded, I snuck out the window,"
"What!"
"Yeah so I gotta be careful getting in,"
"Oh god,"
"I know,"
"So you need any help?"
"That's fine, but that's my  house, so we should probably split," I start to walk away as he grabs my hand and pulls me in, he says, "just one more thing," and he starts to kiss me all over again.
I climb up the tree quickly but quietly, as I start to climb onto the roof by my window I see a light turn on in the living room, she must have heard me climbing. I hold my breath and push my window open, it creaks and I gasp. I hear a knock on the door of my bedroom. "Honey, are you up?" I panic, try to make my voice sound tired, and say, "yeah, I'm just opening the window and using the washroom," I'm sitting half out of the window and half in but I keep up my story, luckily she buys it and lets me go back to sleep. I keep climbing in and walk into the washroom. I wipe off my makeup and brush my teeth, I throw on my pj's and collapse into my bed, luckily, tomorrow's a Saturday.
I open an eye and here my mom ramming on the door.
"What is it?"
"I have your phone!"
"Oh god thanks!"
"And I think you can start wearing makeup again,"
"Thanks so much mom!"
"Now can you please open the door?"
"Oh right ok," I hop out of bed and throw the door open. I give my mom a hug and she hands me my phone, it's powered off.
"Honey," she says, looking at my pj's and messy hair, "I thought you'd be up hours ago,"
"Oh, I couldn't sleep last night so my body made me sleep in,"
"Oh ok, you can come out of your room by the way, your still grounded, but not lockdown grounded. I smile and tell her I have to get ready, when she leaves, I open my phone and a flood of notifications come in, my life has restarted.
