After everything mellowed down you turn back to the window.  You ask "You're acting totally different, are you alright Ryan?" His sudden bitterness toward Evan caught you completely off guard. Just minutes ago he was laughing and complimenting you, he had even said himself that he was in a good mood.

Ryan stays quiet, he sips his coffee and makes no attempt to answer you. Sitting there in silence you thing if you should say something or not. You clear your throat and say his name. He snaps back with "what." In a cold and venomous tone. "N-nothing. Never mind" you stutter, looking away. His glare stays outside the window.

You try thinking of reasons why he would be so mad, or whatever he was feeling. Putting your thoughts aside you turn to him and ask "did I do something wrong?" You place a hand on his leg and he slaps it away. You quickly bring your hand to your chest and say "fine. I don't care anymore-if you won't tell me that's your crap."

You retreat back and stare at the mostly full smoothie, carelessly mixing it with the spoon. In the silence you can here Evan bring the girl her coffee, you watch and smile over at them.

Ryan then stands up and slams his hands against the table. You jump in your seat a bit, his sudden ferocity scaring you. He has the whole stores attention now. His head is bent down and you cannot read his face, the bystanders in the store all look away and try to ignore him. Evan and the girl keep watching though. Your hand goes to sit itself on his shoulder, but you decide saying something is better then trying to comfort him again. You feel a little scared by this sudden outburst, but are not going to stand down to him now.

"Okay, seriously what the hell is up with you? I thought we were having a good time! I can't possibly see why you're angry!" You say louder then anticipated, you stand up to try to get his attention. His fiery eyes pin you down, he says "you know exactly what you did! What am I supposed to do? Be all friendly after you just up and flirted with the fucking barista?!" You stumble back, knocking the stool a little with you. "I was not flirting with him! I was being friendly, how dare you. Are you jealous or something?!" He pauses for a second, and steps away from the table "why the hell would I be jealous?"Ryan mumbles under his breath. You say coldly "That's what I'm asking you, and even if I was flirting with him. You and me aren't even together, you don't own me. And can't up and yell at me if I want to act nice to someone."

Ryan's outburst confused you badly, you were simply making small talk with Evan you weren't flirting at all. Ryan's face looks hurt at your words, but only for a second. You repeat "I wasn't flirting with him Ry." He nudges past you and leaves without another word.

You were left looking out the door window with you're jaw wide open in disbelief. Your hands fall down to your sides and you close your mouth. The store is dead quiet behind you and you can feel every ones eyes on you. "Y/N? Are you alright?" Evan asks from behind you.

The girl and Evan motion for you to join them, you accept their request and sit next to the girl while he stands in front of you with his arms crossed. The girl, who's sunglasses are now on the table, sighs and pats your shoulder awkwardly "that was rough. He's a fucking asshole."

"He's really not, I just don't know why he acted like that." You mumble in a defeated tone. Evan taps his foot and begins to pace in front of you, he places his thumb under his chin and asks "did you like establish you two had a thing or something? Did I cross a boundary?" You shake your head "we've got something going on, but neither of us know what it is. You didn't do anything. He just got out of a rough relationship so I don't know. It's one sided I think."

The girl leans against the wall and takes a sip of her coffee listening patiently. She suggests "I don't know the details but he's probably paranoid or whatever."

Your head pops up towards her and say "that's it!" Evan stops pacing and lets his arms fall to his sides.

A customer then walks in, Evan reluctantly greets them and rushes behind the counter. He was visibly trying to head what you were saying.

"Was I right?" The girl asks. You nod adding "yeah I'm pretty sure, at least I think. She wasn't the most loyal, his ex, but I can't say for how she acted around him." The girl keeps listening as you figure it out a loud. You pause and ask the girl "what's your name? I know his but not yours, and I've been dumping all of this shit on you like an idiot."

She laughs a little and crosses her legs saying "I get that more then you'd thing. Call me Nana." You smile at her and say "I'm (Y/N), nice to meet 'cha."

Evan waits until the customer was seated before walking back to you and Nana. "So? What's going on?" He asks while returning to where he was standing before, he crosses his arms impatiently. Nana shrugs, and once again leans against the wall. She says "introductions."

"Okay no, you said more then that! Spill" he replies. You wait for Nana to say something, but she doesn't. "Fine" you sigh "Nana just suggested that his ex cheated or something." Evan bobs his head "that would explain why he wouldn't want you near me or whatever."  You lean against the table behind you and say "yeah it would, but I was never around him and his ex. I wouldn't know how she would have acted around him, and he never said anything about her cheating. So it's kinda a jump to assume that."

Evans face looks like he lost all ideas and Nana just stays quiet. The silence starts to make you feel weird so you apologize "sorry. Kinda stupid of me to just push this onto you guys." Evan shakes his head and Nana shrugs, like last time.
