Chapter 33

My dad and mom were sitting on the red velvet couch and Chris's parents were sitting just next to them. "Well, well, well. The two trouble makers. What shall we do with them, Clara?" My dad asked my mom. I sighed, and sank into Chris's warm body.

"Punishment. No seeing each other for a month?" My mom suggested, an evil grin on her face. No, no, no! This can't be happening!

"Nah, that's too harsh, dear. How about no seeing each other for a week?" My dad suggested, and Chris's parents were nodding their heads along with his suggestion. Hmph! They can't do that! It's so unfair!

"But - " I tried to protest, but my parents shushed me.

"No buts," my mom chided.

"It's unfair, mom," Chris whined, and threw his hands up in exasperation. "How would you feel if you were separated from your mate for a week?" Chris demanded.

"Pained, but I've gone through it before. It's no big deal. We get to see each other after the week, you're lucky it's no longer than a week," Chris's mom said sternly, and he sighed, while I held his hand tightly, lacing our fingers together.

"Fine. No longer than a week," Chris grumbled, and my dad smiled. "Good. Now explain," he said firmly.

No more family talk. Right now, it was Alpha to pack members.

Once we were finished with our story, their mouths hung open, and I looked at Chris. He just looked amused at them. Yeah, I expected this kind of reaction from them. They were surprised, even for an Alpha, that's a very big surprise.

I grinned at Chris, and he smirked.

"So, mom, dad, we should be going now," he said aloud, and I smiled. They were all snapped back to reality, and their shocks were now covered with firm and stern looks for us. I looked at my dad and mom innocently.

"Yes, mom?" I said.

"Nothing, sweetie. Now, go. We still need time to get this through our heads," she said, and I smiled, walking out of the room, and Chris grinned.

"We are going out tonight. To celebrate, and it's going to be our first real date," he grinned. "Can you believe it? Our first real date. After everything we've been through," I chuckled.

"Yep. It's hard to believe," he winked.

I rolled my eyes. "Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere only we know," he sang.

"Like where?"

"Like I said, somewhere only we know."

"Which is where?"

"Somewhere over the rainbow."

"Like Skittles?"

"Taste the rainbow!"

We both out loud, and landed on the bed.

Our craziness.

"Come on, let's talk with the gang," he said, and rang them up. We met up in the park where we all met. The pack meeting. Where the picnic happened.

All those happy memories.

"Hi!" I greeted everyone and they all beamed at Chris and I. "Hello!" They replied back and I grinned. "So, what have you all planned for these next few months?" I asked, and Maria laughed. "Let's enjoy this moment first before planning out our future," she said, and looked up at the sky. "Besides, look at us now. We've come so far, and we're planning to stick together, right?" She asked us, and we all nodded in agreement.
