"he's my boyfriend, dad,"

i saw her father froze, even the newspaper fell from his grip. i could feel that her father might dislike me, because i dated his daughter without his permission first.

i felt his glares on me and i knew it might be hard to earn his permission for eunha to join the trip to jeju by the end of this semester.

after some minutes of dead silence, i finally spoke up after gathered my guts.

"honestly, i'm here to ask for your permission, mr jung," i said really carefully and in a polite way.

but before i could continue my sentence, he cutted me. "whatever it is, if it's not school-related then no."

crap. i didn't think it would be this hard. what should i do now? i couldn't find any appropriate words to say. as well eunha, she's too scared to face her father.

"um dad, why are you so protective over me? i'm already twenty so i can do what i want, dad," she sounded more like pleading.

"it's because you're my daughter eunha, and i want to fullfil your mom's last wish," he said, as i noticed a frown on his face. "your mom wants me to protect you."

eunha turned silent at this state. if it's about her mother, she couldn't do anything about it since she really loves her. i realized that i need to leave now since they talked about family matter. but it would be harsh of me if i just left.

"umm i'm sorry mr jung, i will wait outside now," i said then got up from the sofa. i went out after he nodded as an approval.

i sat at the porch and took out my phone to kill some boredness. i opened a game called 'clash of clans' and eventually yugyeom were playing it at that time.

after apparently half an hour, eunha came out with a sad expression followed by ilhoon behind her, made me stood up immediately.

"is it done?" i asked her.

"yes, and i have good and bad news. which one do you want to hear first?"

"good," i replied shortly.

"uhm, my dad allowed me to go on the trip, but.."

that's made me jumped excitedly. finally her dad changed his mind! but i still had to hear the bad news. "but?"

"he has to come along," she said, referring to her brother.

i was kind of flustered. it wasn't like i won't ilhoon to join us but.. what should i say to hoseok, jimin, and yugyeom? i forced a fake smile upon hearing the news from her.

"sorry jungkook, my dad is a strict person," ilhoon added, feeling a bit apologetic. i understood it really well, since their father only wanted to protect his beloved daughter for their mother.

"it's okay hyung, i'll tell he others," i said.

after that, we went back to the school. on the way there, i was a bit down and eunha noticed it. she repeatedly stole glances at me.

"are you upset?" she suddenly asked. "i'm sorry kookie, my dad-" i shut her up by pecked her forehead calmly. then i took her hand and clasped it within mine.

"i'm not upset eunha, i understand why your father did that," i said as i rubbed her hand while my other hand was around her shoulder.

she rested her head on my chest and i could feel her smiled. and in no time, we arrived at school. we bid goodbye then went to our own dorm.

"yugyeom-ah, i'm back," i said while entering my room. i saw yugyeom's bed and it was empty. i guess he went somewhere.

i threw myself on the bed and the image of eunha's father came into my mind. judging by her father's behavior, i could tell that eunha was worth a fight. i chose the right girl.
