The rays of the sun shined through the white curtains of a large glass window placed directly in front of the metal bed frame I was sleeping on. As I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes I turned to unfamiliar walls painted a light yellow color. This wasn't my room, and I wasn't in my house.

I quickly jumped out of the bed I was in (which was a thousand times more comfortable than mine), unwrapping myself from the black duvet, and grabbed my phone scrolling through my notifications, all that lit up with Laura's name. I'm not sure what exactly I got myself into last night but I had a shit ton of explaining to do when I figured it out.

I was now wide awake and still confused on what exactly was going on. Since I was wearing sweats and a baggy shirt (that were not mine) I didn't have to worry about getting dressed so I threw my hair up in a high messy bun and walked out the wooden door into a large hallway.

As I got to the stairs I could hear your voice on the phone with someone. You sounded so polite while talking to them, you were reassuring them about something. You was a true gentleman.

I tried to tip toe my way into the room but I wasn't to swift tripping over my own feet slightly before catching myself.

"No worries, we got out of dinner late and instead of going home she just slept in the gues- hey speaking of her.. here she is, do you want to talk?... Alright here ya go." You muted his phone quickly and turned to me. "Good morning!! Not sure how but your friend Laura got my phone number, she's on the other line freaking out. You may wanna take it."

With nothing else said I took the phone out of his hand holding it up to my ear.

"What Laura. Why are you harassing Simon. I'm an adult. I'm fine." I wasn't exactly a morning person.

"I know, I know! But I was waiting all night for details and then it got later and later and I started to get ideas of what was probably happening so I texted you. But you didn't answer so I continued to text throwing a phone call in the mix and you still didn't answer!! So that confirmed my ideas, and I figured I'd stop interrupting your fun and would just call in the morning to check up. Wanted to make sure you weren't off getting eloped in like Vegas or planning the birth of your first child since you got yourself pregnant...without me of course."

"Well just so you know it was late and I slept over in the GUEST room because I didn't want Simon to have to drive all the way across town to drop me off. I'm alive and since you're calling from my house phone I'm going to guess I will be seeing you as soon as I get home."

"For sure, you can lie through the phone. But I know that face you make when you're not telling the truth and am ready to get the details out."

After a quick good bye I got off the phone with Laura walking back over to you. I would've never agreed to sleeping here even if it was in a guest room because I feel like I'd be intruding so if anyone needed to get details it was me.

"So can you explain how I got the honor of waking up here?" I said walking over to the couch where Simon was sitting with 2 cups of tea.

"You fell asleep in my car so I just took you here. Figured that dress wasn't comfy so I put you in some old sweats that didn't fit me anymore. Hope you don't mind." You said while giving me a cup.

To be honest I was a bit embarrassed. Usually I wouldn't care but something about the idea of you seeing me in just a bra made me get this strange feeling.

"No I just feel like I'm intruding. We were just going out to dinner but here I am at 9:30 in the morning." I said while picking at my finger nail nervously.

"Don't feel that way you're always welcomed here. I had fun last night. Why don't we go clean up and go out for lunch and then I can drive you back to your friend before she has anymore separation anxiety?"

"I don't have anything here plus I really need a shower. It's okay. Maybe dinner tomorrow night?"

You laughed,"Or we can just do both. My sister has some clothes upstairs you can borrow and the showers down the hall to the right."

I just rolled my eyes as I got up off the couch and headed back upstairs to go get ready.

I wasn't exactly sure what I was starting, but something just kept telling me to go with it.
