"Harry," Perrie called for him when she saw him walking towards his office, he turned his head towards her in confusion, he smiled when she started walking towards him but she had a frown on her face, her fingers searching for anything to hold nervously. His smile was obvious on his face but he furrowed his eyebrows when he saw that she wasn't being happy like she usually does.
"Hey, what happened?"
"We need to talk."
This is the last thing he heard before she made her way to his office, he stood there confused for a few seconds before following behind her, questions appearing in his head. the frown she had on her face confused him, she was just fine yesterday and this morning. he stepped into his office while she walked back and forth, her face in her hands.
"What happened,Perrie?" He asked, his voice full of concern and worry. She stopped walking and looked up at him and there was a strange emotion in her eyes, as if she was trying to read him but why would she need to do so? she knows him like the back of her hand, he furrowed his eyebrows and reached out for her hand and she let him take a hold of her.
"Where's Anne?" she asked suddenly, her eyes wide with hope that he would've melted right infront of her if she didn't ask that question, his eyes widened slightly, his mouth agape. the hand that was holding hers immediately tightened, his face expression turning into a frown.
"Why are you asking me this?"
"Just answer me, Harry." She said calmly, closing her eyes as she inhaled and exhaled quietly, her lips purse. she looked stressed and exhausted, he wanted to answer her but he knew that he couldn't, It was going to affect her mentally and physically. she tightened her grip on his hand when he tried to pull away, his heart felt like it was shaking furiously as he watched her pleading blue eyes. he's always admired her beauty, she was one in a million in everything, Personality, character and beauty. she's the most beautiful person he's ever laid his eyes on and his huge admiration for her was fighting against not telling her where her mother is but his brain won the battle, he had to protect her, he had to protect his bestfriend.
"My mother is in America with Gemma, I told you." he forced a smile on his face, it was almost believable but it wasn't believable enough to convince Perrie, her jaw clenched as her hands tightened around his, it almost felt like it hurts, almost.
"You're lying!" she suddenly yelled, her voice echoing through the room, surely everyone out there heard her, Harry was taken aback by her sudden outburst, his lips parted as he took a step away from her, his hands falling to his sides when she let his hands go to point an accusing finger at him, he felt disappointed at the lose of contact but his surprised face didn't vanish. You're lying, he was probably lying but how did she know? she believed him all these years, why is she having her doubts right now?
"Perrie, I-"
"I know she's dead, Harry. Why didn't you tell me?" Her voice was suddenly calm, she sighed heavily as she stared at him with disappointment. He stared back at her with concern, she was never meant to find out. Who would possibly tell her something so personal about him? He didn't know. However, he kept his silence. He didn't even open his mouth to speak, what was he going to say anyway? There was no more lies to tell. He knew she'd react that way and it was the best to keep it from her.
She shook her head and exited the office quickly, her legs carrying her out immediately. For some reason, it really hurt her that he lied to her. She thought they knew eachother well, well enough not to keep things from eachother. All she wanted to do was go home and accept the fact that she officially lost her second mother but she couldn't leave the patients in the hands of her cruel father.
