"Dad and uncle Jerry?" Perrie whispered to herself in shock. Her own family are the ones who kidnapped her. How could they? She felt a pang of hurt in her heart. She thought that her family loved her but right now she's proven otherwise. She pressed her lips in a thin line and let out a shaky breath, her eyes moving from the door to Zayn whose heartbeat fell into normal pace, letting her know that he fell asleep. She has to be strong, if not for herself then for him.
The door was pushed open suddenly making her shrink back, holding a hand over her mouth to keep her from making any noises. Fast and angry footsteps echoed through the room as the roamed the whole room trying to find the two who are hiding from them.
"Where are they?" Alexander demanded, his voice stern and strong. She nearly gasped when she heard a box being thrown to the floor but she held it in.
"They were here. Shawn kept them here." Jerry spoke up, his blue eyes roaming over every corner of the room trying to find a single clue of where they are hiding.
"Shawn is good at nothing! They escaped?!" Alexander shouted, his hands into fists. If those two escape then his whole project will go down right to hell. He can't allow a single mistake.
Jerry rolled his eyes at his brother and started walking carefully towards a pile of boxes, his eyes narrowed.
Perrie's eyes widened, he wasn't coming towards her but he was close to her, he just had to turn. She crawled back next to Zayn, a hand still on her mouth and a hand on Zayn's to make sure he doesn't make any noise during his sleep.
Shit, shit, shit.
Jerry pushed the pile that was right next to them, one more pile and they're exposed. Alexander let out a frustrated groan and pushed down a couple of boxes.
Perrie flinched, her lips pressed tightly together. She can't let them see him, she had to do something quick.
She slowly crawled out of the corner she was hiding in, both of Jerry and Alexander had their backs turned to her. She took it as a chance to move, she quietly stood to her feet and rushed to a corner away from them. yet, they still didn't notice.
She sat down and hugged her legs to her chest then moved her eyes towards her uncle and father, moving towards Zayn. She quickly pushed a wooden stick down making it land with a thud, which brought Alexander's and Jerry's attention to her and away from Zayn. She let out a sigh of relief before she started faking her fear, shaking and looking like she's scared to death as she widened her eyes and her lower lip trembling.
A smirk immediately took over Jerry's face as he approached her, sliding open his phone and directing it's light to her face. Jerry's smirk faded.
"Perrie?" He said in disbelief. Furrowing his eyebrows, he directed his gaze from his niece to his brother who had a deep scowl on his face.
"What are you doing here?" Alexander snapped through gritted teeth. His eyes distant and suspicious, he knows why she's here.
Her fake shaking stopped and her expression turned to confusion, her lips parted as her gaze went back and forth between her uncle and her father.
"Dad?" She whispered, furrowing her eyebrows. Jerry looked at his niece in complete shock, not expecting her to be here.
Her presence distracted them completely from Zayn and she was thankful for it. She didn't want to imagine what they would do to him if they found him. The thought made her cringe but she quickly resumed her small acting scene.
"How could Shawn be so fucking stupid? He kidnapped my niece." Jerry gritted his teeth and soon clenched his jaw in anger. Jerry always loved Perrie as his own daughter and she was shocked he'd do such a thing to her but now that she's observing him, he didn't know they kidnapped her and she decided to take advantage of the situation.
"Uncle Jerry! I was so scared! Why did that man kidnap me? I thought he was going to kill me." She sobbed dramatically, throwing her arms around him and burying her head in his shirt.
He frowned and wrapped a protective arm around her shoulder as she faked her sobs.
"How did it happen?" jerry quietly asked, keeping his anger down. Perrie felt bad for doing this to her uncle, she knows he's worried for her and probably furious at that Shawn guy. Poor guy, he's in deep trouble.
I was walking around with my dog when suddenly felt pain in the back of my head and everything went black. I woke up in a dark room alone." She took a shaky breath before tightening her arms around him.
Alexander watched Perrie with narrowed eyes as If he's trying to read her, he was told about what happened but her story wasn't so similar to what Shawn told him. At this point, he trusted his guard more.
"He's going to pay for being such an idiot, calm down." He patted her back fondly, a guilty feeling tugged at her heart but she ignored it.
He pulled away, flashing her a grin. She smiled at him before her gaze landed on her father who was observing her every move. She held his stare to not look suspicious, her eyes showing fear as hard as she could.
"Where is he?" Alexander spoke up, his gaze still piercing through her. She obviously swallowed before taking a breath through her nose, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"Who is this 'he'?" She asked, her tone believable. She was surprised with her acting skills, she almost smirked at herself with pride.
"A patient. Patient number 27, your favorite." He crossed his arms across his chest as he spoke, eyes narrowed at her.
"Malik? Why would he be here?" She asked, eager to hear the story from him. She wanted him to confess his mistakes.
"Where is he, Perrie?" He repeated, his tone warning.
"I don't know? I was just sitting here for almost two days crying myself to sleep because I didn't know where I am. I saw no one else here, it was just me."
"Perrie, Where is he?"
"What's wrong with you, Alex? Don't you see that she just found out that her father's guards kidnapped her? Look for that patient but don't pressure her into confessing something she doesn't know about." Jerry snapped at his younger brother making him shut up, Alexander closed his eyes in frustration before turning and pushing down every box present in the room. she could swear she heard his teeth shattering from how hard he was gritting his teeth.
She watched in horror as he pushed the boxes Zayn was hiding behind but they fell over him, covering him completely. Her tense body relaxed and turned to force a smile at her uncle who was rolling his eyes.
"Where is he?!" Alexander suddenly yelled, his eyes burning with anger. Perrie flinched in hef uncle's arms which made Jerry huff in annoyance, used to his younger brother's temper.
"Just ask the guards maybe they took him to inject him with more drugs." Jerry told him easily, Perrie furrowed her eyebrows.
"Inject him with more drugs?" She asked but she didn't have to fake her confusion anymore, she thought they inject the patients once or they take those drugs through their supposed to be medicine.
"Yes, a lot of patients are showing violent reaction after their treatment and it's confusing so we have to drug them to protect everyone else."
Violent reaction..those chemicals they're injecting the patients with are affecting their nervous system badly which makes sense to why they're being violent. This is exactly what Perrie's father wants and fear immediately tugs at her heart, he was succeeding. she has to stop it one way or another or this world won't be a place for human beings to live in anymore.
Jerry has no clue as to why are the patients are reacting like that which makes Perrie thinks about a plan to make him team up with all the doctors and nurses at the hospital. He was as clueless as them before Perrie revealed Alexander's intentions.
"Can I see those patients?" Perrie asked suddenly, her eyes full of hope as she looked at her uncle. Alexander opened his mouth to protest but jerry already nodded his head and started warning her about the patients' behaviour.
She didn't care, all she could think about was that the violent reaction must be the second symptom that Louis forgot to mention and now that the first symptom appeared on Zayn, she's afraid that the second symptom will take atleast two days to appear.
