CHAPTER 58. WELCOME HOME

I pulled up at Q's house and ran into the house. My heart was racing. I felt like someone was after me or something. I grabbed 3 duffel bags from the closet. I began throwing everything into the bags. I zipped up one of the bags throwing it out the room. I dropped all my makeup shoes jewelry and perfume in another bag. I couldn't think of what else I needed. I took the bags downstairs. As I was about to leave out I remember something. I went to the bathroom and got all my body washes scrubs lotions and oils. I picked the bag up and left out the house without looking back. I pulled off leaving another life behind. My head was pounding. It felt like someone was in my head doing a drum solo. I didn't realize how fast I was going. Until the Miami Police was behind me. I pulled over to the side of the road and waited for my ticket. A white man got out the police car "fuck!" I said out loud to myself. He tapped on my window and I rolled it down. "Ma'am do you realize how fast you were going?" "I'm sorry sir , I didn't even realize it." "Yeah. So I'm gonna let you go with a warning but don't let it happen on my street again." The man walked away. I slowly drove away until he was out of sight. Then I went back to speeding. I made it to Chances apartments. I got my 3 duffle bags. The same lady that came to Chances door was at the front desk. "May I help you with something?" "No thank you. Just moving in with my boyfriend." I knew that would make her skin boil. I smiled and walked to the elevators. As I approach Chances floor the elevator stopped on the 11th floor. The same lady who got on the elevator last time. This day was really getting weird. I got off at the 16th floor. I went to Chances apartment and unlocked the door. I tossed my bags on the floor and walked into the bedroom. I was so beat and tired. I laid in the bed kicking my shoes off. I guess this is my new home. It's not what I'm use to but I guess I can adjust.
