I parked in the Dairy Queen and waited for Chance. I laid my head on the wheel and began to cry. Then I heard a tap on my passenger side window. It was Chance. I unlocked the door for him. "What's wrong ? Why are you crying?" It's just been a long day. "You wanna talk about it?" "No not really." "Are you going somewhere?" Chance asked as he picked up my overnight bag. "Well I was but i don't think I can do it anymore." "You can come stay with me until you feel better." "Chance there's something I need to tell you." "Ok I'm listening." "I haven't been completely honest wit you." Chance blew his breath hard. "What are you trying to say?" "I have a some what boyfriend." Chance looked at me as if he wasn't even shocked."I knew you was too good to be true." Chance was ready to get out the car. I grabbed his arm pulling him back. "Chance please let me finish." "What else is there to say! You lied to me. I can't believe you lied." "Chance I left him for you. I'm only happy with you." "So you expect me to believe you. And welcome you with open arms. It don't work that way." "I thought I loved him. Well i did once upon a time but that was long ago. Before i met you and before i moved here. That's why I had to tell you." "So now you love me?" "I didn't say that , I'm saying i'm willing to give this a try if you are." "And I'm guessing the guy you was asking about that day was him. And just another wild guess his name starts with Q?" "Yes" I could tell Chance was beyond pissed at me. "Why did you lie to me Trina. I trusted you. You told me you would never lie to me." "I know I was scared. I didn't know how much I cared until today. Well last night." Chance rubbed his chin. Then I heard Q screaming. "This can't be happening." "Aw hell nawl!" Chance said in a irritated tone.
