"Trina do you know how to cook?" Malachi asked me. I wanted to scream you already know I can cook you lying cheating bitch. But I had to keep my composure. "Yes i do Malachi , thanks for asking." Everyone took a seat at the dinner table that was already prepared. "So what kind of girl are you Trina? Would you ever fuck my brother and then leave him for a nigga who's name is just one letter?" Malachi spat. Everyone just looked at him including me. "Yo what's your problem!?" Chance shot back at Malachi. "Just gotta make sure she good for you bro." Malachi got up from his chair and walked out the front door. Tears started to fill my eyes. " I'm so sorry he's acting like this. Him and his soon to be fiancé just broke up." Chance mother said to me. "He's just jealous of Chance and his success. He always have been." Carsha added. "I swallowed back my tears before anyone had noticed. "Maybe we should just get some rest I'm pretty tired." Chance father said to all of us. "I'm tired as well." His mother added. I could tell this welcome was completely ruined. Chances parents walked in one of the guest bedroom. "Well I'm going shopping. Is it ok if I use your car?" Carsha asked Chance. He nodded his head yes. She picked up the key and her purse and walked out too. I Couldn't take it anymore I got up from the table and went to the bedroom.  Chance followed me. "Well that went well. I think they love you." Chance said in a playful tone. "This was serious Chance." "Baby what's wrong?" "I just wanted this day to go well so bad and now it's ruined." I got up from the table and went to the bedroom. Chance followed. "Baby it's fine. My brother can be a pain in the ass at times but forget about that." I didn't say anything I just sat on the bed. "The reason he act like that because he's jealous of me. He mad because I left Brooklyn and all that bullshit alone. I didn't want to sell drugs. And my father never approved of it. The money quick but we always had money." "You never told me you lived in Brooklyn." I never seen Chance in Brooklyn , this was starting to get weird. "We all did. But he was the only one who stayed. And that's when his drug dealing got worse. Every other month he's calling me or Carsha to bail him out of jail." "I'm sorry Chance." "Don't be , it's not your fault. Some People never learn."
