Chapter 18 - Live

Eeeeyyyy....once again... Mini chapter this week, but it's pretty cute and I think you'll like it.

Ayas Pov

Theres something different in the air today. Something...restless. It blows through the trees, and it blows through my hair. The gray skies look gloomy. 'It's going to rain today' I think to myself.

I walk alone, down the pavement. I'm stupid, because I forgot to bring a jacket today. It's absolutely freezing. The wind blows through me like I'm not even there and I shudder. Oh, what I would do for my leather jacket right now.

I'm at the park today. It's probably a bad time to come, but I need to get things off of my mind. The once happy and colorful park looks so dull and lifeless.

I sit down on a park bench. If what Natsu says is true, then Lisanna never wanted us to get revenge on them at all. I sigh. "I'm such a freaking idiot." The hair falls into my face when I lean forwards and stare down at my hands.

The wind picks up, and my hair blows back. My pale face is revealed, and my skin stings. I just want a jacket.

And like it's magic, I'm warm again.

A bigger black jacket is set over my back and shoulders. I look behind me to see Nariko smiling.

"Why the heck are you standing there with a smirk on your face?" I ask, covering up my happiness. "I don't know." He says. "You looked cold."

Nariko moves towards me, stopping at the bench. "Can I sit here?" He asks. I look down. "Sure I guess." I reply. He breaths out heavily as he sits down. Nariko smells like cinnamon. I smile to myself.

"What?" Nariko asks. "What product did you use that smells like cinnamon?" I ask. He lays back onto the bench. "Shampoo." He says. I laugh. "WHAT??!!" Nariko asks, laughing along with me. "Its just, I didn't think a guy like you would wear that sort of stuff."

"Why would you say that?"

"Just because."

It stays silent after that. We just look down. "Hey," Nariko starts. I pull the coat over myself more and lean on Nariko. He pulls me closer. "Did you, ya know, like Natsu?" I shake my head. "Not really." I think back to the time when Lucy said "Theres only a place for one person in my heart." "Did you love Lucy?" I ask. They were together for a year. Nariko shakes his head.

"Aya, what do you want to do now? This whole ordeal is over with, so what now?"

I smile and kiss Nariko. "We live our lives." And like that, everything's placed in the right spot.
