Enlighten Me

3. Mind Games

Sorry I took so long to update. I broke my iPad charger and it went flat. I don't own a computer or laptop so had to get a new charger before I could write again. -_-

Anyway here it is... Finally.

If looks could kill.

If looks could kill Lilly would have been toast. 

Not that I actually wanted to kill her. 

But after this was over I would defiantly be giving her a piece of my mind. 

How dare she do this to me I glared at her one last time before I turned and looked up at the new guy who was just about to sit down at our table.

Oh my goodness. Oh my. Oh my. Oh... Up close he was even more gorgeous. He looked like he had been carved by gods. His bone structure was sharp and defined yet filled out.

Perfect nose, perfect jaw, perfect soft lips and scruffy brown hair anyone would want to put their fingers through.

But it was his eyes that captivated me. 

I'd never seen eyes more blue. 

They were a light crystal blue in the very centre by the edges of the pupil that turned into a turquoise blue and the outlining blue was so dark it was almost black.

Ohhhh... I momentarily forgot everything. 

Every thought gone. 

I suddenly felt peaceful. All I could hear is the th-thump th-thump of my wildly beating heart.

"Ummm earth to Ana." I looked at Lilly who was looking at me expectantly, my mouth still hanging open. 

"Your mouths open." She stated, shit I got to stop doing that.

"Daniel here introduced himself but you were too busy staring away in your own world to reply." She said, loud enough for the people around us too hear. 

I heard someone snicker. Gee thanks for that Lill I thought sarcastically.

"Oh sorry, I'm Ana" I smiled weakly at him. 

Even though he was gorgeous I still didn't want him near me. 

And I defiantly wasn't going to tell him my life story or anything.

I decided on ignoring him and grabbed my iPod from my bag, jammed the earphones into my ears and let the music fill my head.

After only a few minutes curiosity got the better of me. 

Keeping my head down I lowered the volume on my iPod so I could eavesdrop on whatever it was Lilly and Daniel were talking about.

"Were you born there?" Lill asked curiously "No I moved to Australia when I was ten. I was born in Romania and spent the first half of my life moving around Europe with my mum until she decided she didn't actually like living anywhere in Europe so she decided to move us to the other side of the world and that's how we ended up in Australia. I moved here with my brother just before Christmas." Daniel replied.

He actually sounds perfectly normal I thought, maybe he's not so bad after all. I let my gaze creep up to his face to study him more carefully.

Nope, defiantly not normal.

I still couldn't get a read on his emotions, all I could see was a gentle white buzzing around him showing that he was in fact at least alive.
