Chapter 29

Emma's POV

I had decided to listen to Dr.Hopper and relax by helping them forget what mad them so different in the first place. I decided to work with Mackenzie first because I think if Killian hears about how she is doing he might just calm down. Since the incident was awhile ago the bruises have healed and thanks to Regina's knowledge of creams to help get rid of scares Mackenzie was once again very beautiful. (Photo Above)

"So why are we at a spa?" Mackenzie asks me.

"Well I just thought it would be a good place to talk. Unless you dont want to be here." I say.

"Spas are nice and all, but not really me." She says.

"Good lets go." I say.

"Where to now?" She asks.

I said nothing, but I did take her somewhere I think she will appreciate.

"Okay now look out there its the whole town of Storybrooke." I say.

"Wow thats amazing." She says.

"I'd thought you'd like it. This was one place your father and went to be alone. We had the docks too, but this was the place where the others couldnt find us." I say.

"Speaking of him... How is he?" She asks.

"He is having trouble remembering the guy he is, but I will help him. Mackenzie you dont have to fear him he wont hurt you. I know he had alittle freak out, but you have to understand that he just feels like what happened was his fault." I tell her.

"Will he ever be that guy you knew again?" She asks.

"I really hope so because I miss that guy." I say.

We spent hours talking and I really got to know her and she was no longer afraid of us. Though now I had to get Killian back to himself. I went to his house and he was just sitting on the couch in the dark.

"Swan?" Killian questions.

"Get off your ass and follow me." I say.

"Umm okay." He says.

I took him to the same place I had took Mackenzie to earlier that day and he just looked at me confused.

"You remember the first time we came here?" I asked.

"How could I forget. You were mad at your mom because she wanted to get rid of your father's things and you just ran into the woods and I had to follow you to make sure you wouldnt get hurt." He says.

"And then what happened?" I ask.

"Then I told you that everything was going to be fine because you have me and I will never leave you." He says.

"Yeah and do you remember our last time here?" I ask.

"It was the day you said you were moving. We just sat here in quiet and didnt speak for hours. Then well we went back to my place and made our child." He says.

"Yeah. Now do you know why I brought you here?" I ask him.

"No idea." He says.

"Killian this is the place where we shared everything. We told each other our fears, hopes, dreams. This was where we were just ourselves and we could tell each other everything. I brought you here so you could tell me whats really going on." I say.

He took a deep breath and then sat down before speaking.

"This happened before love." He says.

"This happened before?" I questioned.

"It was after we gave Mackenzie up and after you were gone. My world just fell apart. I hated myself that you were gone and that we couldnt raise her. It killed me. So I snuck into my father cellar and drank. It took years for everyone to help me. Then you and Mackenzie came back into my life and that light that I lost all those years ago was finally back. Then we got back together and were happy. Then those people took her and hurt her and thats when that feeling came back. The feeling like I could protect the ones I love. Emma Im so sorry for my behavior. I just didnt know how else to act." He says.

"Its going to be okay. Mackenzie's safe and her bruises are all gone. I told her that you would never ever hurt her. I told her stories about how you and how I know that the old Killian was still there and now she doesnt fear you, but she is worried about you. That feeling needs to go away because we arent going anywhere this time. Our family will be safe." I tell her.

"How can you be sure?" He asks.

"Im facing those people in a few days and you and Mackenzie need to stay far away. I will bring our family together, but you have to trust me. Killian, Do you trust me?" I ask him.

"You know I do love." He says.

"Good because this fight is almost over and everything will be just fine." I say.

I really hope I wont lose this fight because if I do Killian will lose his sanity and Mackenzie will be in even more danger then she was in before. So I cant fail my family.
