Emma's POV
Dead end after dead end. We couldnt find a trace of Mackenzie or that family of hers. I dont know why this is so hard for us.
"Emma, hey any luck?" Belle asks me.
"Nope." I say.
"Killian thinks that they are hiding her away so she cant find her way back to us." I tell her.
"Yeah maybe. I didnt like the looks on those people when they came here." She says.
"Yeah Killian thinks that their sketchy too. He thinks they hurt her and that they are possibly punishing her for leaving." I say.
"God I hope not. That girl is so sweet and shouldnt be treated badly." She says.
I went home and Killian was waiting for me.
"Love I found something out about the parents." Killian says to me.
"What about him?" I ask.
"He and his wife have both be in jail before. The wife has had DUI's and some of them where with Mackenzie in the car when she was little." He says.
"And the father what about him?" I ask.
"Bar fights, street fights. He has a very bad anger problem." He says.
"So you think with their issues they will hurt our daughter?" I ask.
"I wouldnt bet against it. They seem crazy and dangerous. Do we have a right to get her back off of that?" He asks.
"This is their past. They have been clean for awhile. Plus that doesnt mean they hurt Mackenzie." I say.
"God I wish I knew what they do to her. Do we give up?" He asks.
"No. Maybe we need a break." I say.
He and I went out of the house and went into Granny's. We sat with our friends when I got a weird text.
Help Me!
I punched Killian's arm and showed him the message. He looked at me and then he should the text to our friends. It was an unknown number. Though everyone thinks it might be from Mackenzie.
