prompt: Nadine Lustre-Reid and James Reid as parentsNoah Rafael Reid has been peculiar for the past few days.
Known for his bubbly and cheeky personality, that blabbers non-stop – talking about made up stories that pops into his little mind. He was oddly quiet during family dinners, which sounded off.
He doesn't like outdoors anymore, but rather stay inside the house — in the living room specifically. Spending his precious time, dotting and following the family cat, Shere Khan.
Suddenly, his life revolves around his Dad's favorite cat. He doesn't go anywhere around the house, without the cat beside him. Despite the fact, that the cat was getting annoyed and frustrated with the four-year-old tailing him around.
Really, really odd.
Whenever Nadine glanced in her son's direction, she would catch Sebastian's brows furrowed in, a cute frown plastered on his cherub face, while he stared at his Dad.
This made Nadine worry, but still, clueless on what could James possibly do to make their son upset.
As a provider in the family, James was barely in the house because of how his work consumed him. He had to leave at work early in the morning and would come home late just in time for dinner.
However, despite the work lifestyle that James had, he made sure that his weekends are free to spend time with the family.
Well, boys being boys, James and Noah share a special bond (well used to), which results to Noah becoming more bias to James. Most of their time together, James would teach Noah play football in the backyard and watching Adventure Time.
But things started to changed...
Suddenly, Noah started to distance himself away from his Dad.
James wasn't bothered not even the slightest. Nadine took note that her husband was too oblivious.
Maybe it was because of how James was too focused with work on the past few weeks. Nadine felt sorry for him because James' new appointed CEO has been breathing on his neck 24/7 and wanted to finish all the cases within a week or so, which caused more stress and workload in the office.
Additionally, there was a new case James' currently handling and he needed to prepare all the paperworks before the trial.
Sadly, work was eating James alive.
NADINE shrugged the negative thoughts away and somewhat came into the conclusion that maybe she was overthinking.
Plus, it was only HER who noticed their son's strange behavior. Though, the sole idea of Noah sudden change of demeanor saddens her.
Children do quickly adapt to the environment around them. Maybe this what happens when a child grows up – they get to discover more and more of themselves each day.
This could be the reason why the sudden shift of Noah's behavior.
"Loooove, do you notice something different with Noah? I don't know if it's just me or what, but he's not acting like himself for the past few days. I'm getting worried." She raised a question in concern.
