Chapter 6
Chases POV
We rushed Caterina to the hospital. I was out of it. I was crying and screaming and wishing it had been me. The doctor got her a room as soon as we got there. Instead of thinking of all the good things that could come out of this accident I thought if all the bad ones. What if she dies, loses a leg, doesn't remember us, forgets how much I love her, and last of all what if she pushes me away.
After I thought of these things I cried so hard I couldn't think of anything worse. I spent 3 days by her side in the hospital. Finally the doctor told me that I could look at her leg. I lifted the blue cover and started to cry. Her leg had stitches and scares. The doctor told me they were able to save it. He also said when we brought her in her bone that connects the leg to the body had snapped. She has to go to physical therapy for 3 months.
I couldn't figure out if I was happy or sad. I think I was mostly scared she hadn't wolken up for 10 days. Finally she opened her eyes and said "Chase?" I looked at her and smiled and gave her a peck on the cheek. The doctor told me to leave the room. Finally I was allowed back in but I found Caterina sobbing. "What's wrong babe?" She looked at me with hurt eyes and said. "I'm not pregnant anymore."
