Alexis's point of view
"Morning sweetheart," my girlfriend greeted and I smiled as I rubbed my eyes with the back of my hand. "Sleep well?"
"Like a baby." I practically giggled as she kissed my cheek. "What time is it?" I asked, rubbing my temple slightly since I had a headache. It was probably from standing up to fast, so I didn't pay too much attention to it.
"Six. Want to just borrow my clothes for school so you don't have to run home?" She asked me and I nodded as I sat down on the counter beside the pan of eggs she was cooking. "You better be hungry lil' missy."
"I always am." I nodded as I leaned my head against the wooden cabinet door. "About your job-"
"Don't sweat it doll. I can find a few one. My boy knows a place where they're hiring. It's a record shop downstairs. Says it's full time, seven to nine, and I can play my guitar there after noon. It's all good." She promised, tilting my chin up slightly.
"You need to stop prioritizing me over your own life." I brought up and she shrugged. "I should come after your job and your family."
"Funny, cause you're pretty much my family already babygirl." She grinned and I rolled my eyes as she put the fried eggs on two separate plates that already had toast with Nutella and jam. "Working on it." She winked and I blushed heavily.
"Damn..." I muttered because I didn't know what to say after that. So, I settled on something of a completely different topic. "I'm stealing your emo clothes mamas."
"When you steal something, normally you don't tell someone before you do it." She teased as she handed me a plate of food.
"Well, I'm not normal."
"Clearly." She agreed as I took a bite of my toast. I didn't quite like jam, so I just had Nutella on mine. Even then, it was still slightly too sweet for me.
"How's your music coming along?" I asked and she set her plate down before grabbing a large mug of coffee. "Any new songs?"
"Tons. I'm probably only going to record a few though. They're not all good." She laughed and handed me her mug. I took a drink and then set it beside me. "Debating on throwing them on YouTube aswell. I think my few hundred thousand subscribers would enjoy them."
"You should. Maybe you'll catch a record deal from your dream label." I hummed and she sighed dreamily.
"Fueled for Ramen, come on guys. Notice me." We both laughed and she stood beside me as we finished our breakfast, or whatever we could of it.
-
"Morning Nani," I greeted my friend, Anani, and she smiled sweetly at me. "Don't-"
"You stayed over at your girlfriend's." She sang as she shut her locker. "You're dressed in her clothes, and I can tell because she's the emo one in your little forbidden affair."
"It's not forbidden, and it's not really an affair. It's just a relationship."
"Nicole's twenty and you're seventeen." She pointed out and I shrugged as I leaned against my locker. "Underaged."
"Like anyone really cares. As a lesbian couple, we're either sexualized anyways, or given disgusted looks. So really, it doesn't matter. At least we're happy." I smart-mouthed her and she held her arms up in defense.
"Someone woke up fiesty." She laughed lightly and I closed my eyes. "You alright? Normally you don't get snappy and sarcastic unless you feel sick."
"I woke up with a headache, that's all. I thought it was nothing but it's still there." I sighed as I rubbed my temples.
I felt someone throw something at me and my eye twitched slightly. "Do I want to look?" I asked and Nani told me that I should, but I wouldn't want to.
"Now you don't need to play with knives."
"Stop guys, she has enough on her wrists and thighs."
I opened my eyes and then looked down at my outfit, finding red paint splattered all over the front of the 'Emo Nite LA' shirt. A razor blade was shining inside of the bowl, and I felt my heart sink. I ignored it as Anani picked the bowl up, and then focused on my shirt.
"This - This shirt is Nikki's." I panicked as Anani threw away the bowl of paint that was thrown on me. I gasped and then looked around as people laughed at me.
"I have extra clothes in my locker. Here."
She quickly unlocked her locker and I held my forehead as my headache became more and more prominent. I felt like my head was throbbing and my skull was going to split in half at the aching pressure. I groaned quietly, my body falling against the metal.
"Alexis?" Anani asked and all I could muster was a small shake of the head. "Alexis, are you okay?" She panicked and I almost couldn't hear her over the sound of the ringing in my eyes.
Was that the bell? Or was I just hearing things?
What the hell?
I shook my head, but the world became a blurry mess of different colours and blobs of what could be people passing. A louder ring came through and I winced so hard that I fell on to the floor with a loud thump, my eyes shutting instantly.
