The Seven's Puppet Show [DROPPED]

Chapter 3

~Lucy~

Alice is going to kill me. Not only Ace discovered our secret place, I even allowed him to proceed. I didn't even know why I did that. But I can't do anything now, there's nothing I could change. My memories are a blur after I made Ace promise me to tell no one about that place and after that, I found myself lying face down on the meadow that leads to the cliff. 

I ran to the cliff but saw no one there. They must have left already. I checked the time and gasped. I'm late for Biology. Great, now I have two people who's capable of murdering me. I swore and sprinted away from the cliff, into the school and finally, the science lab. I burst through the door and said my apologies to my biology professor. He just gestured for me to sit down. 

Alice was my lab partner. So I usually sit beside her. "I'm so so so so sorry." I said, bowing my head multiple times. 

"For what?" Alice said. She looked so bewildered.

"For laughing at you, for leaving you-" I started to enumerate.

"I was the one who left." Alice interrupted.

"And for not stopping Ace." I finish. Alice's jaw dropped. She stopped breathing, I realized. "Are you all right?" 

Alice sucked her breath and closed her eyes. When she opened it, she glared at me. A glare that sent shivers down my spine. Alice can be scary when provoked you know? "You. You have a lot of explaining to do."

"Sorry" I said.  >.<

"So, Lucy, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU STOP ACE?!" Alice bellowed as we passed an abandoned playground a couple of meters away from the school. School was over and we were walking home. Alice's house was just a few blocks away from mine so we usually walk home together.

"I don't know myself! One second I was making him promise that he won't tell anyone about anything then the next second I said something I didn't mean to say. Then I was lying face down on the meadow. I think I even got dirt on my mouth." I explained. Alice didn't seemed satisfied. Actually, she looked rather worried. Her eyebrows were attempting to meet and her lips was curled into a frown. 

"Alice, he won't tell anyone." I reassured Alice, guessing the reason of her worry. She looked at me with serious doubt on her face.

"How are you even sure? Do you really know Ace? Is he trusted? Will he keep his promise? He also promised me, you see. And he doesn't look like a person who would break a promise. But I don't really know. I-" Alice said without pause. Words came out of her mouth nonstop. She didn't even pause for a breath. 

"Alice." I said firmly. "He won't tell anyone. If he ever tells anyone, blame it on me. It was my fault he discovered the cliff anyways."

"But I was the one he followed. I was the reason he discovered that place."

"And I could've stopped him but I didn't. You should stop worrying." I smiled at Alice. "Anyways, your house is here. Guess I'll see you tomorrow."

Alice looked less worried. She walked up to their front porch and waved at me. "Thanks Lucy! See you tomorrow!"

I walked a couple of steps when I hear a chuckle behind me. I looked behind me but saw no one. There was no one else on this street but me. There was an eerie atmosphere that made me feel unwelcome. 

Lucy. Someone said inside my head. A voice that wasn't mine. I was so startled that I didn't notice a low branch ahead of me. I bumped my forehead into it. I groaned as I rub my forehead. Easy sweetheart, you might accidentally get yourself killed. It's game over for me the moment that happens.

Shut up. I said inside my head. Who are you and what are you doing inside my head.

"Oh dear, it's also my head now." I turned aroud and saw a Lady standing in front of me. She was wearing a typical sailor uniform with black knee socks. Although she looked like a teenager, her voice, her posture, her elegace and even her presence were that of a well-trained lady.

"What?" I said in complete bewilderment. "Who are you exactly?"

"You may call me Superbia." The woman, Superbia, bowed elegantly. "But you may recognize me as the sin, Pride."

OOOKKKAAAYYY, so here's chapter 2 xD
