Chapter Twelve

     "Katie, get up!" Yelled a voice as the door banged. Katie bolted upright and stumbled over to the door. Swinging it open, she was momently blinded by the suns beams. Though during her blindness, she could still see purple hair. "Sam, what's going on?" Katie asked rubbing her eyes and yawning. "We need to get ready for the Muse festival. It's at four and it's noon right now, Athena said we could sleep in so we'd have our strength." Sam explained slowly, so Katie could understand. Nodding along as Sam spoke, Katie remembered the previous night. Her vision, the face, them talking in Hero's room. "Why do I have to go? I'll just be in the way." Katie said, desperately not wanting to go. "It was your vision, you have to be there. Plus you gotta learn somewhere. Now shower and come to my room. We need to get ready." Sam said as she turned and walked off, her tan arms swinging. Shutting the door and groaning, Katie walked into her bathroom and showered. Pulling on her white converse, Katie checked her outfit, faded jeans, and a Soft and Sexy blue tank top. Brushing her hair and putting her makeup on, Katie walked out of her room, and started to Sam's door. 

     Putting her fist up to the door, Katie knocked and waited for Sam to answer. The door swung open and an arm pushed Katie in, surprising her. "Do you typically take an hour to get ready?" Lilith asked Katie with a warm smile. "I wanted to look nice." Katie said, thinking of how hard she tried on her makeup. "You'll need to change you know. This is a formal event." Lilith said brushing through her silver hair with a comb. "I don't have anything to wear." Katie admitted, she had many dresses, none formal. "Borrow on of Sam's, she'll have one you like." Lilith said as she twisted her hair into a long braid. Katie just saw that Lilith only had one a white bra and black underwear. "Lilith go get dressed." Said Sam's voice, as she walked out of the bathroom, a towel around her body. Lilith got up and grabbed a dress off of Sam's bed as she walked into the bathroom. "Okay Katie sit down, I'll do your hair." Sam said pulling her desk chair out. Katie sat down and watched as Sam picked up a black brush, with small red jewels on the back. Katie felt the tugs of knots coming undone as Sam brushed her hair. "What kind of style do you want?" Sam asked, putting the brush down. "A bun I guess." Katie shrugged, not knowing any hairstyles. Sam nodded and started messing with her hair again, this time twisting it onto the back on her head, allowing some strands to fall free and frame her face. Katie looked in the mirror, almost shocked on how nice her hair looked. "Katie, you look great." Lilith said walking out of the bathroom, now wearing a long silver dress that touched the floor, it was sleeveless and was able to show the lace tattoo on Lilith's chest, the right side of the dress had a slit, showing on her leg. "You look better Lilith." Katie said, amazed on how elegant Lilith looked. "Okay, Katie go get dress, I'm gonna do my hair and makeup, then Hero will be here ready along with the guys." Sam said. "I don't have a dress." Katie said standing up. 

     Sam walked over to her closet and looked through it. Sam grabbed a dress and handed it to Katie, ushering her into the bathroom before she could even see it. Katie set the dress down on the sinks counter and took off he own shirt and jeans. Katie picked the dress up and let it fall down to show what it looked like. It was a plain white dress, thigh length, that poofed out at the bottom, on the right side of the waist was blue lace. Katie shrugged the dress on over her head and let it fit itself onto her body. Looking in the mirror, Katie saw that it was slightly to big, bit she had no surprise. Making sure he hair had not come undone, Katie walked out of the bathroom. Sam was sitting at her desk, fixing her makeup, and brushing her hair to the left side, making it fluff up. Sam stood up and looked at Katie and nodded. "Looks good, I'm gonna change now." Sam said as a knock came from the door. "Come on in guys!" Sam yelled as she grabbed the second dress on her bed and walked into the bathroom. Hero walked in, her red hair curled at the bottom making it into waves of fire, she wore a long black skit embedded with red jewels, and a red top with black lace covering it, her stomach showed. "Katie, Lilith you guys look amazing." Hero said as she walked in smiling, the guys following her. Blake wore a dark blue suit, with a black undershirt, a tie with Jack Skellington on it, his blue hair was in a lazy I-fell-sleep-with-a-quiff look. Julian followed, he wore a black and white suit, with a blood red tie, his hair slicked to one side. Nick walked in last, wearing a white suit, a pink undershirt, and white tie, his hair was cut short and the sides were shaved. Katie smiled, they all looked good.
