Dream Breaker

Chapter 9

Waking up to a school day is the worst feeling and more when it’s a Monday. It’s 6:30 when I get up and start to get ready. I decide to put on a flowery blue shirt with some light blue jeans and my blue chucks. I go to the bathroom and stare at myself.

 I still haven’t forgotten the vision I had about my mom and grandmother. I look down at the necklace and keep thinking why did it glow?  I mean even after telling my aunt I didn’t see anything that caused my hysterics I feel safe. Is that good?

I go back to my room and grab my backpack. When walking out I forget to take my pill so I go running back and take it. That’s when I hear a knock at my front door. I go running down the stairs and open the door finding Kaylee & Andrew standing with smiles. I can’t help to smile to.

“Hey guys!” I say with a joyful voice.

“ Hey ..you are ready right?” Andrew says.

“Yup! Let’s go” I say. We head to his car and I see and go inside the front seats while I go to the back. The whole way I try to look outside the window but I couldn’t help glance the holding of hands. I smile finding it cute.

We get to school and see a lot of kids at the parking lot. Great … New girl on the way. I get out of the car and see some kids staring at me. Boo!! myself conscience screams. Ugh I hate being a new girl.

“ Hey uhm … I’m going to the office for my classes. See you guys later?” I say while seeing the girl hesitate.

“ Sure no problem. See you later Delilah.” Andrew says.

I start to walk away from them and I have a feeling of stares behind my back. I roll my eyes knowing I’m going to be well known by the end of the day. I grab my earphones and phone and plug them in my ears. I start to listen Kids by MGMT. As I walk I feel a hand grab my shirt and pull me back. I turn and face a smiling Harry standing in front of my eyes. I pull my earphones out of ear.

“May I help you?” I say trying not to give a smile. I guess I didn’t try enough so he’s grinning with his stupid perfect lips.

“Woke up feisty eh? Well trying to make the new girl feel home so where you heading babe?” he says. I roll my eyes.

“ Delilah by the way and no where interesting where you have to stalk to figure out.” I say turning around and walking away.

“ Aww c’mon Delilah we’re friends act like one.” He says giving a hurt voice. I laugh.

“ Sure. Whatever you say. I’m just heading to the office to get my classes. Not interesting right?” I say.

“Nope it’s always interesting for me.”

I roll my eyes and we walk to the office.
