Heavyn's POV

Four days later: Friday

I grudgingly uploaded a picture of Niall and me to Instagram. It was from the first football game of last year ((which hopefully shows up to your right >)). Harry’s girlfriend at the time had taken it for us. Waterview, despite our lack of talent in practically every sport aside from football, girls’ tennis, and boys’ soccer, has a good football team.

Freshman year they had been crap. But gradually the talent got better and they were Regional and District champs last year. They got killed at States, but that’s beside the point.

Anyway, back to my Instagram picture. The caption was, of course, ‘can’t wait for Friday Night Lights with my babe’ and then the little emoji with hearts for eyes.

I had been so excited to upload this picture, yes I get excited about posting pictures on Instagram, but Niall was a complete ass to me today. It wasn’t just him. My whole day was annoying.

It all started this morning when I had to wear a freaking white dress. Since there is a game tonight, all of the cheerleaders and football players dress up. The football players’ idea of dressing up is wearing their jersey tucked into a pair of dark jeans.

But cheerleading is a whole different story. We had to wear dresses. Dresses. White dresses. So my mother and I had to drive out to the mall yesterday to go and buy a new white dress at Abercrombie. I have other white dresses, I just don’t like them enough to actually wear them to school. And Abercrombie has ridiculously small clothes, so like the whole day I felt like I was having to suck in my stomach so I don’t look pregnant.

Again.

And then in third period, our animals got here. My cow, who I named Johnson, rubbed his little baby nose on my white dress. I’ve never wanted to hurt a cute, innocent little animal so badly.

Now I’m having hair issues-

Ugh.

Do you understand how hard it is to get a huge freaking bow in your hair? Even Chance was struggling with my hair. She had come over to my place after school, after driving home. I flat out told Niall I wasn’t going to drive home with him if he kept acting like a baby.

He kept acting like a baby, so Chance drove me home.

I was seated on a chair, in front of my large mirror, while Chance worked hard on straightening my hair. I straightened it this morning, but you wouldn’t believe me if you saw me at the end of the day. Florida humidity is the worst weather condition anyone should ever have to live through.

I locked Jackson outside of my room. I didn’t need him to pull a Johnson on me and get slobber all over my brand new uniform. It feels weird being in a cheerleader uniform, but a good kind of weird. It kind of makes you feel powerful. Like,

Yeah, I am a cheerleader. I’m popular and what the hell are you going to do about it?

“That’s a cute picture,” Chance admired, looking over my shoulder at my phone.

“Thanks,” I said, setting my phone on the desk. My makeup was done, I was dressed, and it looked like my hair was just about done.

I could relax. Tonight would be fun. I settled into my seat just as my phone started vibrating. And it was no other than Prince Charming himself. I didn’t want to talk to him but I answered anyway.

“Hey,” I said, looking at my nails. Whilst at the mall yesterday, my mom and I made an emergency stop at a salon. My mom needed root touch ups and I wanted my nails done.
