"Jocelyn, remember to keep your leg up!" you reminded. She nodded. "Okay, let's try this stunt one more-Ah!" you screamed as someone lifted you off the ground and spun you around. The women laughed at you. These big strong arms belonged to Luke of course. "Luke, put me down!" you giggled, as he twirled you around, slowly. "Not until I get my kiss." You gave him a quick kiss. "Now, put me down!" He gently placed your feet onto the ground. "Alright, ladies, I think that's enough practice from today, remember we're wearing our white shoes on Sunday" you started. The women walked off the field to the locker room.

"So, how was practice?" Luke asked, kissing your cheek. "Good, how was your practice?" Luke put his arm around your shoulders. "Eh, it was pretty good, we've been watching game film nonstop." "Well you have to get ready for the game." "Yeah I know but I'm just ready to get out on the field already, I'm really excited to play the Patriots." "I'm not excited to see my dad though. You know how he feels about us.." Luke walked you to the locker room, stopping at the door. "Don't worry about him, (Y/N)" he said simply, "I'm actually going to have a little talk with him on game day."

"Smile big girls!" you shouted at the squad of cheerleaders. They, of course, lit up their faces with large bright smiles. Panthers and Patriots players were practicing on the field, brushing up on last minute plays. Nervousness crept up your spine as Luke walked over to your dad on the Patriots sideline. A scowl formed over you dad's face; both of them looked at you and you were quick to turn away. They were talking about you, you could tell, the better question is why? You glanced back over and your dad was walking off the field, Luke following not far behind, pleading for something.

You turned to your assistant, "Macy, keep the squad in check for me" you commanded, as you ran off to get Luke. Patriots players were trying to separate the two, because your dad looked two seconds away from blowing up. "Luke, please, forget whatever you were going to ask him. Let's go." He shook his head in defiance. "No, (Y/N)." "Luke , come on, I'm serious, whatever it is it isn't worth making a scene over." "No! I'm just trying to have a civil conversation!" he yelled. This was the first time he had ever yelled at you in your four years of being tighter. You took a step back, Luke was never this worked up over anything.

His face softened, now showing signs of penitence instead of anger and frustration. "(Y/N), I didn't mean to yell at you like that." Your dad scoffed. "You're just going to let him yell at you, (Y/N)?" you dad yelled. "Stay out of this" Luke snarled. "That is my daughter, and I know her better than anybody, you must be crazy if you thought I'm going to say yes to you marrying her." Your heart stopped and you looked up at Luke. "You were going to propose?" you beamed. "Yeah..it was suppose to be a surprise..." he frowned. You pulled him down by his shoulders pads, kissing his softly. He grasped your face in his hands. Whistles came from the crowd as you both pulled away. Cam walked over and handed Luke the small ring box. "Congrats" he grinned, before walking away.

Luke got down onto one knee holding the box open. A intricate diamond ring inside. "Luke, you don't have to do this." His face filled with worry at the fear you would say no. "W-why?" "Yes" was all you said. "Y-yes?" he stammered. You smiled. "Yes" you repeated. He stood back up, his lips meeting yours in a warm 'la bise.' "Luke the ring" Cam reminded. All the players, Patriots and Panthers smiled at the scene of Luke slipping the large ring onto your finger. "(Y/N), I love you" Luke announced. "I love you too baby, but I think we should get off the field now" you responded, some angry members of the crowd glared at you for holding up the game. "Good idea."

You walked off the field, meeting face to face with your dad. "Luke" your dad called. Luke turned and faced your dad. "Do you really love my daughter?" he questioned. "Yes sir, I'm madly in love (Y/N)." The head coach cracked a small smile. "Well as long as my baby girl is happy, I'm happy" he revealed. Luke reached out and shook his hand. "I promise sir, she's in good hands." "Well I better not hear any different" he added, "take care." He turned around and went over to Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. You walked back over to the sidelines with Luke, you arm around his waist and his arm around you shoulders.
