Hey everyone once I go back to school it's going back to two updates a week at least. Sorry, but I have a lot of commitments. This chapter was super fun to write, let's hope it's as fun to read it as it was to write.

We arrived at Zephrylle's gates to see no one. "Where is everyone? " I wondered out loud. From what we'd heard from Jocasta and Sabas I'd expected the streets to be crawling with 'pilgrims'.

" They are in the town square, Zephra is talking to them."Jocasta said blandly.

" How do-" Eleckra went to ask but Kenrita cut her off silently using  our group telepathy link I set up.

"Shush! If she knows without proof, we should too. Keep your wits about you and your mouths shut."  She scolded us like school children.

"Yes Kenrita." We chorused in her mind. I could see the ghost of a smile on Rita's lips at our response before she regained her composure.

We followed Jocasta and Sabas to the town square. We foud a powerful looking merman preaching enthusiastically to absent looking mer. "Welcome friends, I am Zephra." The man on stage greeted us. "Who are you and why are you here?" He demanded and his eyes turned black and I found my group reciting,

"We are humble servants of Zereste, we have come to serve her."

" What are you guys doing? Hello, he's trying to brain wash you!" Eleckra demanded telepathically, breaking the three of us out of our trance. The man who I assumed was Zephra nodded and began to speak again,

" Be welcome young friends. Your males shall help the krill farmers; they look strong enough. Your females may become maid in my- er Zereste's temple."

We were herded by some Kefusa, lieutenants of sorts to Tephon, towards the temple. I say temple but I mean palace. This was no place of worship, this was a place of luxury for the one who owned it. We were each given a bland room with just a bed and bed side table. We were given some basic food and sent to bed, told to rise at 6 and begin work at 7.

Once Jocasta settled into her room the other two swum into my room to discuss the day's events." Well, we found our Tephon." Eleckra said.

"Aww nah." Rita sassed her.

"Enough bickering you two! What information do we have?" I scolded them.

" We know the Tephon has powerful mind control and he has three Kefusa working for him." Rita answered huffily.

"It can't have been that powerful; I wasn't affected by it." Eleckra replied. I sighed audibly.

"Get some rest, I'll contact them later and ask about that. Goodnight and don't forget; we are pilgrims." I told them. They sighed and departed for their own rooms.

I took out the map that Marco explained was our source of contact to the collective sisterhoods and brotherhood. I wrote down what we had found that day and asked them about Eleckra but I cursed the Council. The map was a one way communication system, we had no way of finding out what was going on in the outside world. I hid the map and fell into a deep yet troubled sleep.
