Why?

Her- "Why did you do it?"
Him- (after a brief moment of thought) "Because I love you."
She looked at him with unconvinced eyes. His response, too quick. His words, seeming too rehearsed.
He looked at her, knowing his meaning was unfamiliar to her ears.
Her- "You didn't even let me finish."
Him- "You didn't have to."
She gave him a look of disbelief.
Him- "Whatever I do. Where ever I'm at. My actions always reflect upon you. But you are I and I am you. I don't want you around people I know, where they think you are naïve or oblivious. I keep you in the loop of conversation, so that when someone brings up your name. They know you are perfectly fine. And where you are supposed to be. So no matter what I have done. Or haven't done. Or may be doing in the near future. It is all because I love you. Thats where all my actions spiral from. My love for you."
And this time. Maybe because of the passion in his voice. Or just because he eyes were locked to hers.but she believed him. And his reason why. Caused her heart to flip, twice over.
