"Will you take my soul?
In the midnight rain?
While I'm falling apart?
While I'm going . . .
Insane "

_______

Ashlie and nick didn't know what to do.

They couldn't find a single generator and every time they rounded a corner they were either spooked by a screaming demented woman or the actual killer would see them.

Ashlie had told nick that this killers name was the hag, she was slightly like the trapper except instead of bear traps she puts this weird symbol on the ground and when a surviver steps on it a copy of her appears, which she could than teleport to.

She was a very potent being if you aren't carefully looking at the ground for one of her traps. Which is probably what worried nick the most.

Would the others be ok?

He couldn't help but worry for them, even though they've been out here long enough, that still didn't give him a reason not to feel the way he did.

Especially Jon, he knew the others would be fine but jon's new to this waste land. It would be hard for the poor guy on his own. He could only pray that one of the others found him.

_______

Tommy and Jon panted heavily as they hid inside the top part of the giant boat. The killer was straight on there tail - though she was slow - and when they had lost her, they somehow always managed to get her attention again.

Now finally rid of the horrid creature, they both sat side by side. Uneven breaths practically in synch.

"Wow, never in my life had I been that scared of something." Jon let out a breathy laugh as he looked at the brunette next to him.

"Yea well, you get used to it after awhile." Tommy smiles at Jon, his breathing starting to go back to its rhythmic beats. Jon - smiling along with him - placed the back of his head against the old rusty wall of the control room atop the boat.

The sat in short silence for awhile until tommy spoke up, "promise me, we'll both make it out of here. And you'll Continue to teach me how to fix a generator." More silence enveloped the two before Jon spoke his answer.

"I promise." And with that a comfortable silence say over the two as they Listened to each other's steadying heart beat.

"Well, we should probably go fix that generator over there, " Jon spoke, motioning towards the machine to their left. Jon stands up, holding out his hand towards tommy - which he graciously takes - ,standing up the two head over to the generator and Jon begins to teach tommy to fix it.

_______

Tommy had lost Jon. He was scared for the boy, he was new to this land and he didn't think he knew how to hide well from the killers.

Trying to ease the worry from his mind, tommy continued on trying to fix a generator, messing around with the wires.

Considering Jon wasn't there to help him he'd have to continue to try and teach himself how to fix it, only hoping Jon would come through with their promise and help him when they got out of there or when if he find him again.

As he finished the generator he quickly sprinted away, making sure the look underneath him now and again in fear of the hags traps. He smiled to himself, feeling accomplished that he actually fixed a generator for once.

Only to see something that made his heart stop. His smile quickly faded, his eyebrows slowly drawer together as his upper lids of his eyes began to rise.

The hag was standing over a fallen Jon. a large gash across his chest, blood pouring from the wound and his mouth. The liquidity substance stained the dirt a mucky red and he spit on the ground.

The hag slowly picked him up.

All tommy could do was stare wide eyes at his endangered friend.

Never had he felt so useless,
So helpless.

Once the hag was out of sight tommy quickly sprinted off in the direction of Jon.

It's not too late, I can save him.

His heart rate went through the roofs as panic filled his vains. He stopped and hid right near the hook his newly found friend was stuck on. The hag stared at him, her eyes lost of all emotion. Tommy only wondered what horrors she's been through too. he wondered if she still had any humanity left in her seemingly empty vessel.

She continued to stare at tommy as jon screamed out in pain as he tried to wiggle himself off the hook. Tommy was frozen.

Why wasn't the hag going for him?

If he made a move would she get him?

Is she just staring as a way of taunting him, to show him he was helpless in these situations.

Seconds turned to minutes as the hag stood in front of the slowly dying boy, staring straight into tommy with cold hard eyes.

Was this what losing someone really felt like?

He hadn't felt this with Dawn, so why was he feeling it with Jon. Maybe it was because he hadn't been there when dawn died.

Tommy bent over slightly, the terrible taste of bile filled his mouth as he threw up on the ground. Even though he hasn't eaten in years.

Never had he seen someone being killed on the hook up close before, he has only seen the sky change drastically from afar.

But it's even worse from up close.

Jons screams for help, were probably music to the hags ears, the sadistic fuck.  Jon looks at tommy with fright, trying his hardest to hold back the spider legs that had just manifested in front him.

Tommy reached out his hand towards him, taking a step forward.

The spider legs eventually impaled jons body, takin it off the hook where it slowly turned translucent. The clouds in the sky grew thick and black as his ghost disappeared into a black abyss.

All tommy could do was scream silence and cry air.

He felt numb.

He wished he hadn't meant Jon, he wished he could go back in time and kill himself before he ever even laid eyes upon Jon. Yet he couldn't help but feel angry with Jon.

He had promised something that he hadn't kept in the end. As selfish as it sounds, he did.

But most of all, tommy blamed himself. For not doing anything, for standing there like an idiot watching his friend die.

For simply being the helpless.
