It's almost been a week since she and Nick had been in Paris. Ben seemed to be doing just fine when she spoke to him two days ago. He had promised to attend her mom's runway show in Paris the following weekend. She smiled to herself at the memory of him swearing He wouldn't miss it for the world. To be fair, he had only missed it once, two years ago, turned out Nick was sick, though he never mentioned the sickness, she remembered pressing him before he insisted it wasn't his story to tell. That was the only time any of them; Ben and Hannah, had missed her mom's runway show.
The past days had been good to a reasonable extent. It was Thursday already. She was more than excited for the weekend. She had to send her mother her designs latest the following morning, but she made it a priority to do that before she left the office that day.
The Roxton's had been good to her since she arrived. Hannah was her usual jovial self, always making sure to ask Anna when she should be expecting her great grand children or ask Nick when the wedding bells would ring at every dinner gathering. According to her, she couldn't wait to plan another 'major event'.
Antonia on the other hand, says she expects the wedding bells to ring first before she a grandchild. Though it wasn't exactly easy, Olivia began to warm up to Anna and they were becoming friends real quick.
Nick had been busy with work these past few days, although he made it a thing to always attend dinner with his family, he had been his normal arrogant and authoritative self. Since she had been with him, he had never once said the word please or sorry. Always commanding. She recalled the conversation she had with him last night.

He was reviewing a document for a contract he needed to sign before his meeting the following day, she laid down beside him, waiting for him to be done so they could cuddle till she slept off.As she watched him concentrate on the documents in front of him, her mind drifted to their lunch break on Monday. The name Lucy rang a bell to her but she couldn't figure out where she had heard the name.
"Who's Lucy to you?", she had asked. Certain that she wouldn't get an answer.
"What's with the sudden question and why now?" He asked looking up from his MacBook.
She couldn't sleep. For the past few days, she had found too much comfort in sleeping in his arms, It scared her. At the same time, she loved it. She couldn't tell him that though. She decided to answer the first question.
"I've been curious since the day we met her at the restaurant." She tried to make her voice sound calm, even though her feelings were far from calm.
He looked at her intensely, as though he was searching her soul for the right answer, "She's nobody to me. We dated for a period that's it." He tore his eyes off her and focused back on his system.
"By period, how long do you mean?" She was curious to find out more.
"A year and four months." He said without taking his eyes away from his system.
That was probably the longest period he had dated a girl. Now she was even more curious, "Why did you guys break up?"
He looked at her with an irritated look. "What's this now? A question and answer session?" He snapped at her. He saw the shock on her face and cursed himself in his head for not controlling his temper. He tore his gaze from hers and focused back on his system.
She was shocked at his reaction. She guessed she overstepped her boundaries. "I'm sorry... I was just curious."
He released a deep breathe and said, "You shouldn't be. I totally understand." He said calmly, turning to look at her. "I just don't fancy talking about it... You should go to bed. It's getting late."
