"I'm afraid of heights like deathly afraid." That explains the fear in his eyes.

"Is there a backstory to that or just a fear?"

"Just a fear. Your turn" strange fear for a tall person.

"I have two sisters, they are both married and one has a daughter my niece." That shocked him. "One lives right outside Austin the other lives outside Tampa."

"Your parents sure wanted kids." I twirl my hair and laugh nervously because that brings up another secret.

"Actually my dad isn't really my dad. He is my step father... My dad he gave me up..." My voice cracks at the surging emotions I didn't let get to me years ago. “I guess I need to explain the situation for all the pieces to fit together." He nods taking a deep breath I look him in the eyes.

"My mom and dad were married once before and that's how I have so many siblings. My sister Casey from my mom she is the one who lives in Tampa with her husband Daniel and their daughter Penny. My dad had my brother Adam and my sister Jayme. She lives outside Austin with her husband Mike. Then when my parents got married they had Andrew and I. Andrew and I are two years apart. My parents got divorced when I was 5 and my dad started dating again as did my mom. My dad got remarried and that's when I came to Texas for the first time, then right after that he...gave me up. My mom remarried a few years later and I took his name and he took me as his daughter... My family life is pretty messed up that's why I keep it a secret" he blinks a few times as he digests the information.

"So... Yeah it's your turn"

"He just gave you up? With no reason as to why?" Apparently he isn't ready to switch subjects yet.

"I don't know I was so young when it happened and I tried to show I was strong so I hid all the emotions that came with it. The abandonment, loss, guilt, confusion, anger, hurt, most of all the thought that I must be such a pain that not even my own father wanted me. That traumatizes a kid, more than anything in the world." That's why I never had real friends and never had a boyfriend till now and even now I know it won't be long till he leaves me because I become a pain or all the baggage I have is too much for him. I'm used to all the men in my life leaving me.

"Your father gave up the most precious gem in the entire world"

"You're just saying that"

"I mean it! It's his lose but my gain... My parents are millionaires"

What? That has to be a lie.

"Bull shit!"

"I'm serious! My mom inherited money from her parents when they passed away and my dad is the CEO of Violet Ice Cream."

"Oh my god!! I love that ice cream" he nods.

"I see why you keep it a secret; I wouldn't like to be used because of who my parents are" "I know what it is like..."

"Exactly wait what?"

"My mom writes books, so she makes money trust me and my dad too"
