The Tattoo

| Chapter 11 |

                     I couldn't believe it! Isaac and Maddox... ugh. I'm cringing... I feel sick. How could Isaac do this to me?

As I was about to walk away, I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Hey! What are you doing?"

I turned around to see Carmen, cheerful as usual. "Um... nothing." I replied.

"Oh, come on, Crystal! You're a horrible liar! What's going on?" I was about to pull Carmen away, but then she walked a step forward and saw.

"Shit! Isn't that Isaac?!" Carmen squealed.

"Yes, and keep your voice down!" I hissed and dragged her away.

"Oh my god... Crystal, he's cheating on you! With a guy! We have to go do something!"

"No, we—"

"Oh my goodness, Crystal! Isn't that guy Isaac kissing your soul mate?! What his name? Madden?"

"Maddox," I corrected. "But that doesn't matter! Okay, let's just go now, I can't bear to see this anymore!"

Suddenly, Carmen whipped her iPhone out of her bag and snapped a picture of Isaac and Maddox (who were still kissing, by the way!)

"What did you just do?" I said.

"Take a picture. Duh."

"Yeah, but why?"

"Blackmail." Carmen said it as if it was the most obvious thing in the whole universe.

"Carmen, I don't want to blackmail them! What they're doing is wrong, but—"

"No buts, Crystal! You really are too nice, you know? Trust me, I'll make them pay, alright?"

"Good god! I don't want to make them pay!"

"Leave it to me, Crystal." With that, Carmen walked away. I sighed and walked after her.

                           For the rest of the day, Carmen avoided the topic of blackmail. She knew that if we talked about it, I wouldn't convinced her not to do it. So after the bathroom incident, Carmen decided we'd done enough shopping. We went to the food court and ate pizza and drank smoothies. Then we went home.

I opened the key to my house and pushed open the door. What I saw was nearly as surprising as what happened earlier with Maddox and Isaac. I don't think you can guess it because it's absolutely nuts and gross.

Oh my god, this whole day has been nice and gross!

But okay. I'll just get to it. There I saw on the couch, my mom kissing some young-looking guy in a police officer uniform!

I'm gonna scream. What had my life turned into...

Hi! Sorry I haven't updated in a while and sorry for this short chapter! But really, I'm having doubts about what I previously planned for the ending of this book, so I'm kinda confused now... but I'm working on it! Anyway, what do you think of the story so far! Comment!
