We swam the next morning. Err… Alex flew. Chris and I swam. It was a while before we got to the island. It took us even longer to get to the highest peek. The sun was setting. I started to sing the first note but I was stopped. Staring at the horizon, I saw something. I heard something. And then we all saw it. It was black and dark, and came swarming at us.
"Evil magic!" I thought.
"RUN!" I screamed. They didn't move. Behind the magic cloud, there was a bird.
"Katie!"
The bird sat down on a branch staring at us. But the bird was looking back and forth at the magic cloud. Almost saying...Hold it back. Apparently, Chris and Alex got the clue and standed in front of me.
"SING! SING!" Chris yelled. So I started.
"Casting magic casting magic for you. Casting magic casting magic for love. I will be with you always. Forever and forevermore!" I sang loudly.
The wind stopped.
Just like that.
Stopped.
The evil magic...
stopped.
Fell on the peek looking like ash.
The bird.
Gone.
Or was it?
I looked around. Even in the evil magic.
A necklace...Amanda's necklace. I grabbed it, and hugged it. Katie's earings. I did the same thing. I saw Chris looking in it as well. I don't know what he saw but he picked it up and whispered something.
The sun set a few minutes after we found the stuff. I laid close to a tree, but Chris and Alex laid close to me. Chris laid as close as possible to me. I fell asleep and wondered about tomorrow. Would I ever find Amanda and Katie? Or did finding there stuff was the closest I would get to finding them?
