This is the true story of how Taylor Alison Swift truely made me "FEARLESS" and really showed me that if I believe in something, these things will "Change" and NOTHING can hold me back!!!!!

It started on March 5, 2013 and the private school tri-meet during the 300 meter hurdles, my best event. As I rounded the turn jumping over the 5th hurdle to the straight-away, I felt a sharp pain in my left knee, which happened to be my lead leg. I thought maybe I just landed hard so I kept pushing through the intense pain and cleared the final 3 hurdles, getting 2nd place! A week later I had a two-day volleyball tournement and I was setter so I had to move around the court... A LOT!!! By the end of the tournement (we won 2nd in the Silver braquett), my knee was killing me!!!! The next week was spring break and my mom took me to the doctor, turns out I had twisted my tibia!!! She got it back into place and it felt SOOOO much better!!!! The following week was the 7th grade trip to San Antonio and I was estatic because we were going to Fiesta Texas on Saturday and I got to see my best friend from camp that I hadn't seen in 4 years!!! When we returned home my knee hurt again but I ignored it and finished out track season and the metro volleyball season. On April 15th I was put on crutches:(. May 3rd I went to another doctor who specailizes on athletes. We did x-rays and an MRI (hate those!!!) but nothing showed up, leaving te doctor with a final conclusion. Plicea Syndrom. Plicea Syndrom is most common in girls (NOT FAIR!) and is basically swollen, excess tissue betweeen the joints in your knee; the only way to cure it is by having the Plicea tissue removed. I wasn't ready for surgery so I stayed on the crutches for a total of three weeks, getting off of them just before a school trip!! And before the RED concert at the Dallas Cowboy's Stadium, which is actually in North Arlington and NOT Dallas!!!! The concert was the best night of my life!!!!! That summer I went to camp for three weeks and by the end of the term, I spent the last few days in tears because I couldn't handle the pain any longer! A week after returning home from camp we went to Gulf Shores, Alabama and it was AMAZING!!!!! On August 6th, my dog was put down:( it was hard! And two days later, August 8th, I had my knee surgery... Thanks to Miss Taylor Alison Swift's quotes and her magnificent songs "Fearless" and "Change", I went into the surgery with confidence that God had His healing hand over me and the doctors, and that I am a Swiftie and Taylor taught me that "being FEARLESS is NOT being unafraid, it's being TERRIFIED but you jump anyway" so I knew I would be fine. Another Fearless sign was that I was put in recovery doc #13... The number of the Swifties!!!! A couple months later I was able to join the 8th grade volleyball team and participate in a season ending win against our rivals!!!!! And my knee didn't hurt once!!!! Things had Changed!!!! My knee also never hurt when we went skiing a couple weeks ago, but tonight I was "FEARLESS" and shown by God that things had been able to "CHANGE"!!! I am a hurdler on the middle school track team and tonight, Febuary 27th, was our first meet!!! I was in the 300 meter hurdles, the event that caused all the chaos. I was extreemly nervous that I wouldn't be able to finish because I have recently been diagnosed with Bronchial Spasms which are similar to asthma. The spasms were the wall put up and crossing the finish line was winning the battle. Tonight after listening to "Change" and "Fearless", I was "Fearless" and I knew that finally, things had 100% been able to "Change"! I got third place in my heat and shaved 9 seconds on one of my fastest times from the 7th grade season, finished the 8th grade girls 300 meter hurdles in 1 minute and 9 seconds!!!!
Thank you God! You are BIG ENOUGH!!

And, Thank you Taylor Alison Swift for getting me through the scariest and hardest part of my athletic career with you spectacular songs and motivating quotes!!! Thank you for showing me how to be "Fearless" and that if you NEVER give up, things will one day "Change"!!!! Keep writing and being an amazing role model!!! My best friend and I can NOT wait for your next album!!!!! I am so PROUD of you!!!
Love, Abi
