"So you mean to tell me that right after your daily dose of sunset, you walked around the woods nearby and took a dip in the lake where you almost drowned and you didn't answer my calls because your phone was on silent the whole time..." Jason repeated the story I told him, "And you expect me to believe that?"
He wasn't buying it.
"What? It's true." I lied.—Well, kinda.
I mean, I did walk around with Zack after the sunset and I did almost drown in the lake. I just lied that my phone was on silent...
"So no one else was with you when all this happened?" He cocked a brow in suspicion.
I sigh. I guess I have to lie again.
"Jason. What part of I go to the peak to be away from people don't you understand?"
By the look on his face, I knew he still didn't believe me.
"Look, I'm really tired and sleepy. I'll talk to you in the morning." I excused myself as I went to my room and locked the door.
After reminiscing what I did today, I chuckled and smirked.
Today was indeed eventful. Zack is really sweet and kind, unlike the other people I've met so far. It's a shame he doesn't like going to school... It would've been nice to hang out with someone besides Jason... someone who understands how it is to be an outcast. Cutting class is bad, I know and I bet he knows that too, but the consequences don't seem to be so bad when you could be exploring the mountains, discovering cool things to do and places to chill, to be able to do anything you want, break the every single rule you can think and not give a damn... I wish I had the guts to do all that.
I really do.

The next morning, Jason and I had a quick bite before heading out to enjoy our Saturday. He thinks I'm going to some cafe to be alone for the rest of the day because that's what I told him but really, I'm going back to the mine and look for Zack.
First, I go to the peak to see if he was there but he wasn't. Next, I tried the lake but he still wasn't there. I went to the usual places where I'd see him lounge before but there was still no sign of him. I walked around some more but I just had to face the fact that he wasn't here yet.
What was I thinking? It's 9:45 AM on a Saturday morning. He's probably still at home, sleeping...
Bummed out, I take a seat near a decomissioned train car and took a minute to breath in the cool morning air.
It was really relaxing here, actually.—That was until I heard and felt movement from the old and abandoned train car... I instantly stood up in slight fear.
I slowly approach the rusty and ragged looking machine and called out, "Hello? Is anyone there?"
I stopped and froze when I heard footsteps from inside. I widen my eyes and turn around, away from the train car. I shut my eyes instantly, scared.
I kept on praying in my mind that nothing scary would happen but then...
I heard a voice.
"Lana?" A hand held my shoulder, causing me to shriek,"Ahh!"
