Harry's POV

A gold and pink beam of light invaded the gap between the curtains of Harry's four poster bed. The sun was begin to rise as Harry blinked sleepily and sat up in his bed, opening the curtains around his bed and looking around the Gryffindor dorm. Everyone else was asleep at this time. Harry wasn't sure what time it was now, but he didn't care much. Waking up early gave him a feeling of peace, but then he remembered the happenings of the night before and the illusion crashed around his ears. Draco Malfoy had seen him. Draco knew. Of all people, why Draco Malfoy? He ran his hands through his hair. He might as well have breakfast before the rumors started spreading.

All through out the day, Hermione kept giving Harry worried looks. She obviously knew something was wrong, but didn't want to bring it up in front of Ron. Harry hadn't told either of them about him being a neko. At times he felt guilty about it, but he always pushed that to the back of his mind. Ron, he assumed, would take the news badly, but Hermione would probably be supportive and he wouldn't be surprised if she had figured it out already.

That evening, Harry wandered mindlessly through the castle. Not a single rumor had spread, at least to his knowledge. It was out of character for Draco and that confused Harry more than it worried him. Draco usually took any chance he could to spread rumors about Harry or anybody close to Harry.

As Harry slowly shuffled past the library, someone grabbed his arm. He spun and jumped back several feet, cat instincts nearly taking over. But Harry overrode those instincts as he recognized Hermione's familiar bushy brown hair.

"Harry, you've been acting strange all day. Are you okay?"

Harry slowed down his breathing, calming himself before he replied. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just having an... off day."

Hermione's critical, dubious look was one that Harry was used to, but now that familiar expression made him absolutely terrified. Hermione's expression softened, probably recognizing Harry terror.

"Okay, Harry. I guess I'll see you back in the common room then."

Hermione turned and headed back towards Gryffindor tower. He released a breath that he had unwitting been holding. He had no doubt that Hermione would bring it up again soon, but at least she had let it drop now. He had no intent to return to the Gryffindor common room, so Harry decided to return to his the abandoned classroom that he spent so much time in.

Pushing open the door, Harry froze completely. Mate. He didn't know who it was, but Harry didn't care. Mate. Whoever it was had creme-ish colored pointed cat ears, a long tail that had been flicking lazily inside, until Harry had intruded, and it now stood on end, and paws with short creme colored fur that stood on end as the intruder  opened the creaking door wider. Basically, in Harry's eyes, purfection. Mate. Harry unwittingly transformed and slowly made his way across the room. Mate. The neko turned and Harry recognized them instantly. Draco Malfoy.

Reality came back to Harry and he turned tail and ran. Why Draco Malfoy of all people?

The next few days, Harry nervous awaited the rumors that Draco would no doubt start to spread. A day passed, then two days, and eventually the full week passed. Apparently, Draco hadn't spread any rumors, which was surprising to him.
