Forbidden (Neko Drarry)

Chapter 8

Draco's POV
Draco took a deep breath. He had to act his normal self because this was Potter... He hated being venerable in front of people, especially rivals. He put his hand on his face, trying to appear calm and in control.

"Well... it's kind of hard to explain," he looked up at Harry who nodded, his emerald eyes scanned Draco's face. "It was last summer. After you were in the Ministry and my father, you know... failed. He wasn't happy, so he wanted to take it out on me."

Draco, took a deep breath, leaving a moment of silence. "Yeah, I get it," Harry said. "But what did he do?" Harry's eyes focused onto Draco's. Draco glanced to the side, breaking eye contact.

"Well, there was this creature he showed me. It was a Neko, but it wasn't... I don't know what He had done, but it was completely barbaric. And he said, 'It will either kill you, or you will become it.' Then he left me, sealing me into a chamber with only that thing and a short blade. I didn't have a wand. And the Thing growled at me, then it pounced... And I killed the Thing. There was nothing I could do."

Draco pressed a hand over his eyes, willing them not to water. The faint sound of stone being scraped told Draco that Harry had stood. He heard the vague sound of shoes against stone as Harry walked towards him. He felt his hands being pulled away from his eyes as pulled them away from his eyes. Harry gently squeezed his hands, then sat down next to him.

"It's animalistic what Voldemort-" Draco cringed at the name "-sorry- does. And you're didn't become that Thing. You're still you."

Draco felt a single tear roll down his cheek. He never thought he'd hear these words come from the great Harry Potter, his former rival.

Draco opened his mouth to tell Harry his other secret, but he couldn't. The Dark Lord already wanted to kill Draco and what he was planning on saying could have only made matters worse.
